Ryans Picks

January 11, 2020 by nflinlondon

Our man Ryan Cull is still smarting from his Bills being eliminated last weekend.
Will the sting of neglect still carry forward with him this weekend?
Time will tell, but more importantly his picks will.

We have included Ryans picks against the spread so that you can make your own picks based on Ryan’s expert NFL knowledge.
Will you take his advice?

Vikings vs -7 49ers

Ryan isn’t totally sold that the 49ers can put up the big boy points versus the Vikings. Minnesota has dusted off the ice and seems to be playing competitive football.
Ryan thinks that the 49ers will win, but that they won’t cover the full spread.
49ers 24 Vikings 21

Titans vs -9.5 Ravens

The Titans continue to impress as they knock off some of the top teams in the league, but can they knock off the top team? Ryan says ‘no’, but he does believe that this game will be closer than most think. He also picks Derek Henry to have a stellar game in the face of the D.
Ravens 30 Titans 23

Texans vs -9.5 Chiefs

The Texans are a team that Ryan hates right now. After dusting his Bills in the second half last week, he is looking for redemption in the form of a Chiefs beating. He thinks this will happen, with Kansas City easily covering the spread.
Chiefs 30 Texans 17

Seahawks vs -4 Packers

Ryan isn’t totally sold on the Packers either. Who have they beaten really, and have they done it impressively, or in need. The Seahawks are growing in confidence, but will too many injuries stop this party before it starts? Ryan wanted to take the Seahawks but just couldn’t do it. He does like them to cover though.
Packers 27 Seahawks 24

Weekend Picks Against the Spread

It’s Divisional Weekend in the NFL, so I thought I would share my picks for this weekend.

There are some pretty damn tight games, as well as some pretty high spreads-which means this one will be tricky when getting the point spreads and the overs right.
I also always like to check the weather, as that will affect the over/under in most games-as it’s tough to score in snow!
Luckily it looks like a pretty placid weekend, even in Green Bay.

If you want to take my picks, head over to BetRegal-where they have some great offers for NFL divisional weekend. Take my picks and win big.

We also have a DraftKings contest on this weekend, so see if you can win big in that one as well.

So here are my picks for the weekend.

Saturday

Vikings (11-6) vs -7 49ers (13-3) +45

The Vikings and 49ers seem to be at opposite ends of the playoff spectrum. The Vikings started sluggish, then rebounded near the end of the season, while the Niners crushed everyone to start, before giving up a few suspect losses.
Yes, the Vikings do have momentum and a healthy line-up heading down to the Bay area.
The 49ers have played extremely well at home, and with that extra week off-will be anticipating the deep ball threat of the Vikes.
The big difference here is going to be the 49ers front 7 vs Kirk Cousins.
If you can get to Kirk, the offence is going to fall apart. He’s not a scrambling QB, so if they can get him on his back feet-they will score.
I like the Vikings to keep it closer than the 7 point spread, but these Niners with a week off will be too much to handle.
George Kittle will have a great game as well.
VIKINGS COVER

Titans (10-7) vs -9.5 Ravens (14-2) + 47

How do you solve a problem like Lamar Jackson? You don’t.
He is too fast, too smart, and has incredible QB IQ.
I think even Dr. Strange would need to go through multiple universe possibilities to see how the Titans can beat the Ravens.
Sure, they beat a hobbled Tom Brady and the Patriots last weekend, but the Pats averaged more yards than they did.
With a week off, and plenty of film to review the Ravens will be focused on shutting down Henry & Tannehill.
Henry will be tough, because he can pretty much through everything.
Tannehill on the other hand will be suspect to some huge pass rushes and a fierce secondary looking for loose balls meant for AJ Brown.
The Titans might be able to score on a scripted play early on, but the Ravens will pile on the pressure.
This one could be over by halftime.
RAVENS WIN

Sunday Games

Texans (11-6) vs -9.5 Chiefs (12-4) + 50.5

Looking for points? This game promises loads of them, as Patrick Mahomes heads to home field with a week off.
The Texans were able to overcome a plucky Bills team to steal a victory last week, but can they do it this week?
No way.
The Chiefs have a healthy roster back, and redemption in mind after their loss to the Texans this season.
Kansas has also improved on its D, with many healthy bodies back in the fold.
Can’t see anyway that the Texans will do anything but crumble under pressure in this game.
CHIEFS WIN

Seahawks (12-5) vs -4 Packers (13-3) +46.5

The Packers are 13-3 with a bye, but did they really whoop anyone this year?
Is anyone really scared of the Packers?
Yeas, they have home field advantage and the Seahawks have sucked at Lambeau in the past, but this game will be more than about that.
The Seahawks continue to grow in confidence, even with huge injuries to their running game.
Marshawn might be old and crusty, but he still can power run through some tough lines and is great in the redzone.
The Seahawks easily cruised through the Philly D, and there’s no reason to suspect that they won’t do the same here.
Russell Wilson should gash up yards running from the Packers D, who have trouble with QBs of his pedigree.
I originally thought that the Seahawks might be able to cover, but now I am confident that they can win.
SEAHAWKS WIN

Why is that?
It’s central London on a Saturday-it gets nutty.

Wade’s DraftKings Line-Up

January 4, 2020 by nflinlondon

Do you even DFS bro?
I do, and I have created a DraftKings line-up for Wildcard Weekend so that you don’t have to!
Make sure you join our DraftKings League so that you can play against us every week and win cash and fame.
https://dkn.gs/r/kwxDR0JIokKPkA6cPjCtNA

So who are you choosing for your tea this weekend?
Who will give you the most bang for your buck for the points?

Let’s take a look at some of the dudes I have selection for my Wildcard DraftKings team.

QB

Deshaun Watson ($6400)

Of the 8 QBs playing this weekend, DW is the fastest, most scrambling QB of the bunch. With a bevy of WRs at his disposal, Watson will be looking to torch the Bills secondary. Buffalo has a fast front, so also look for him to dump the ball off, short pass it and of course run the ball. A good deal at $6400.

RB

Alvin Kamara ($7400)

Sure, the Vikings have a fast front D, but they also have to worry about Michael Thomas and Drew Brees. The Vikings will look to stop Kamara, but they may not be able to catch on to his pass options. Kamara will cause havoc in the backfield as he gashes them for yards. A bit pricey, but worth it.

WR

N’Keal Harry ($4100)

The Patriots have used Harry sparingly with good results throughout the season. When it comes to the blustery playoffs, TB12 will be looking at players who can both run and catch for short yardage. Enter N’Keal, who can do both. He won’t be the number one all day, but he will be used in strong situations where they need someone to beast it across the line, or for those redzone toss ups where the big man gets it. A steal at $4100.

TE

Jacob Hollister ($4300)

He was THIS close last week against the 49ers, and there’s a good chance we will see a lot of him this week. He can muscle his way up the middle, and has a big frame that’s hard to take down once he gets going. Hollister is coming up as one of Russell Wilson’s favourite targets, so he should get plenty of action this week given the injuries to the team. A good value TE at $4300,

DEF

Saints ($3000)

I like to look at the biggest point spreads when determining what D to take in DraftKings. For one thing, they will be losing and need to stage a comeback. Desperation yields necessity, and I necessarily think that the Vikings will go into a hole on Sunday. The Vikings like to do deep, so that means the ball will be up in the air a lot against a tough Saints D. For $3000 they have value.

Let’s break down the games and reasoning starting with.

AFC

Bills (10-6) vs -2.5 Texans (10-6) +42.5

The Bills have put together a pretty swell season this year. They outperformed everyone’s expectations, and Josh Allen has settled in nicely-using his legs to blast through weak defences.
The Texans have been plagued by injuries, and the D has struggled with injuries. Their real weapon has been the feisty Deshaun Watson, who humbles the opposition.
For me the real marker here is how they both played the Patriots.
The Texans smothered and deep choked the Pats en route to an easy victory.
The Bills however saw what the Titans will see later, a team in control.
Buffalo just doesn’t have enough tools to keep this one tight enough.
The Texans will be motivated at home, with JJ Watt looking to return to pump up this Texas sized reception.
Texans will just be too much for them.
Texans 24  Bills 20

Titans (9-7) vs -5 Patriots (12-4) +44

‘You lost to Miami’. That sentence will be ringing in the ears of all of the Pats this season.
It won’t sound very nice to them, and will serve as motivation this week.
They dismantled the Bills a few weeks ago, and it’s hard not to see how they won’t get back to that form.
A storm near Henry is looming over Foxboro stadium, and coincidentally it might look like Derek Henry.
Billy B always shuts down at least one piece of the opposition, so who will it be this week?
AJ Brown, Henry or Tannehill?
Weather will be a factor here, so look at taking the over.
When it comes to the final, it’s hard not to imagine the Patriots putting on a clinical operation on the Titans in a long, boring game.
Patriots 23 Titans 14

NFC

Vikings (10-6) vs -8 Saints (13-3) +49.5

Drew Brees at home in a dome. All of these things don’t point to a good result for the Vikings. Add to that the insult of the Diggs catch a few years ago, and you can see how the Saints would be motivated. Brees has been crushing records this season, and the team is riding high on his supply.
The Vikings are welcoming back their soldiers from injury. Cook and Thielen will be back in this game, but how healthy will they be against this tough Saints D?
While I like the Saints to win, I think the spread in this one is too high.
The Vikings have deep ball threat, and Zimmer will be looking to shake up the momentum of the Saints.
The Saints will win, but not by 8.
Saints 31 Vikings 24

-1.5 Seahawks (12-4) vs Eagles (9-7) +45

It beggars the mind that a 12-4 team would be a visitor in the playoffs, but here we are.
The Seahawks have been grounded this season by their running game.
They have been so devastated that they have resorted to Old Skittles, aptly name because his raging body sounds like a bag of Skittles when you shake it.
The Eagles are injured too, but their real injury is a mental one.
They haven’t really beaten anyone of respect this season, and they don’t exude the tools to win a championship.
Then there’s Russell Wilson, aka the Difference-Maker.
Seahawks 26 Eagles 20

Wades Late Picks

December 29, 2019 by nflinlondon

Greetings from Canada, where the games are a reasonable 5 hrs behind the U.K.

As I sit in a WildWings bar, scoffing some of the 101 flavours of chicken wings, I am struck by the crazy 1st game scores. Loads of teams are playing out of their heads, while others are trying to steady theirs.

Upon looking at the scores & spreads I have adjusted some of my 4pm game picks.

-9 Titans vs Texans

This game first came up as a 3 point spread, then rocketed to 9. The Texans are sitting loads of players, so you can see why. 9 points though? That’s just a bit much for my taste given how low these first game scores have been. I can’t see them making it that high. Texans cover.

Redskins vs -13 Cowboys

The Redskins have been like herpes this season, infecting & itching the opposition. The Cowboys need a win, but 13 points against a team who has been getting under the skin of every team? Doubtful. Heck, they might even win. Redskins cover.

-3.5 Eagles vs Giants

Go Daniel go! These two teams have had a wild season with each other, & this game will be the same. But remember the adage that ‘a team that needs to win, rarely does.’ Giants will make this game tough. Giants cover.

Steelers vs -1 Ravens

The Ravens will barely care about this game as they want to stay healthy. The Steelers want to go out with a bang, boom & happy ending. They will be motivated to finish 9-7 for the season & they should. Steelers win.

Make your bets on BetRegal, & see how you do with my picks.

Put down a tenner on these & make a nifty £124.90!

Good luck!
