Wade’s Week 17 Picks

December 29, 2019 by nflinlondon

Are you still fat and drunk from the holidays? Then buckle in for Week 17 of the NFL, which can be as exciting/ boring/ unpredictable as a family Christmas dinner.
There are a few games that really matter in the playoff race, and some that are a fart in the wind to cap out the week.

For some of the teams that have already secured a playoff spot, they are more concerned with resting their good players, and thus the games become incredibly difficult to handicap.
Also, teams will be watching the scores of other games, and will adjust the beatdown facto they lay on the other teams-or lay-off.
This adds a wacky nugget element to sports betting.
To help you out, I have made some of my predictions to help out your betting options.

Make sure you check out our BetRegal offer. Just deposit £10 and spend it on a bet, and you get ANOTHER free £10 bet to make on another offer.

We have our DraftKings League set up as well, so pop on over and set up your team for today.

Wildcard Saturday is just around the corner, and we will be showing ALL of the NFL Playoffs at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden. For £7 you get entry and a welcome beer.

Ok, let’s take a look at some of the big games this Sunday.

-13 Saints (12-3) vs Panthers (5-10) +46

Christian McCaffrey must be tired. He has been carrying this team on his back/ legs and ego this season, and it has been a very disappointing one. What will happen next season with Cam Newton, and can they fade out this season with some dignity?
The Saints are fired up. They have 12 wins under their belt, but it’s the 3 losses that are the scary ones. They have shown some inconsistent play during some of these games, and that’s not the blueprint you want to take into these playoff games.
The Panthers won’t be motivated at home, but the crowd will be treated to a high-scoring affair.
Alvin Kamara looks to have a beast of a game, so factor him into your fantasy line-up.
The Saints are looking at home field advantage, so they will be ready to run up the score to get it that way.
Saints win big.

Dolphins (4-11) vs -15.5 Patriots (12-3) +44.5

‘At least we’re not the Bengals!’
The Dolphins had a pretty miserable season, but at least they were able to not fully trash bag the season, and walk out with 4 wins.
Ryan Fitzpatrick brought his magic to many of these games, and although they won’t get the first draft pick, they will be able to slowly start rebuilding the team.
This is a tough game, because the Patriots need a win, but they don’t need a beating of the fish.
As long as they win, they’re in-but they will be watching the Chiefs score to determine how far that beating goes.
Look for Brady to roll up some big scores early on, then let off the gas after the first half, once they know what the playoff implications are.
I can see Fitzy going out with a bang in the second half, unless he gets demolished by the Pats D.
Dolphins cover.

-13 Packers (12-3) vs Lions (3-11-1)

The Lions have had a worse season than lions being kept in an Eastern European circus.
Too many injuries, and a disappointing tough schedule have kept them in the NFC north basement.
The Packers are sitting pretty, but they need to win to secure a home field position.
Again, they will look to put up a big score, then start to coast, but unlike the Dolphins, the Lions don’t have any assets to allow them to keep this game close.
Packers win big.

LA Chargers (5-10) vs -9 Chiefs (11-4)

The Chiefs are in the playoffs, but how far are they in? Just the tip, or the full shaft?
Kansas will also be keeping an eye on the Patriots game to see how their future holds.
In the crazy chance that the Dolphins actually beat the Patriots, KC can secure home field advantage, and make the season a lot tougher for anyone willing to visit the midwest.
The Chargers have a solid front D, so look for them to chase Patrick Mahomes all over the field.
LA is one of those teams who won’t let up in this game. It’s their final season in the old stadium, so it’s a new start and new home going forward.
There will probably be more hot dog vendors in the stand than there will be Chargers fans.
Chargers cover.

I will be outlining what some of the good parlay pick options are this week, so make sure you head over to BetRegal and take me up on my predictions.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Playoff Picture

December 24, 2019 by nflinlondon

How about that Week 16 huh?
A few big teams crapped the bed in the penultimate weekend of the NFL, and it really, really hurt.
(talking to you Cowboys)

There are a few teams that still have a chance (The Raiders?!?)-but we are starting to see some of the playoff picture emerge.

The Patriots and the Ravens have taken a choke hold on the AFC, with the Bills, Chiefs, Titans and Texans pushing for those Wildcard spots.

The Packers & 49ers have beaten all comers to take the NFC post positions, while the Vikings, Saints, Seahawks and Eagles all looking for those Wildcard spots.

Want to watch the Wildcard games? Join us at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden so that you can watch all the games until 5am.

Enjoy your holidays and see you for Week 17 and the Playoffs.

Week 16-Saturday

December 21, 2019 by nflinlondon

The NFL on Saturday? What is this, Christmas?
Presents for everyone!
Week 16 is always a tough week to handicap, because teams play for the playoffs or players play to get traded next season.
After taking a bath in my picks last week, I am hoping to rebound with a solid weekend of NFL savvy.
How many can I get right this week?
Let’s start with our Saturday matches to see where my head is at.

-3 Texans (9-5) vs Buccaneers (7-7) +50.5

The Bucs are bringing back Jameis for 2020, so saddle in fans.
Jameis has continued to put up a buckled of points every week, despite tossing as many INTs and fumbling the ball.
He’s had 2 games in a row with 450+ yards, and he could continue that against a tired, and weakened Texans secondary.
His top 2 receivers will also be a gamete decision, so Perriman could see the ball quite a bit in this game.
The Texans will want a win, but with a Titans rematch in Week 17, they might not be as fully focused.
The Bucs have a solid front D that will force DeShaun into pressure situations to make mistakes.
Tampa is playing to a hometown Christmas crowd, so look for them to deliver a present in the form of a close game.
Texans will irk out the win, but barely.
Bucs COVER

Bills (10-4) vs -6 Patriots (11-4)

The battle of the AFC East, as the plucky Bills have strung together their first 10 game win season since the Doug Flutie years.
Tom Brady has been playing ‘meh’ football thanks to a paltry receiving corp and an offensive line that has seen a lot of new faces.
The Pats D keeps them in games with Gilmore ripping the ball from anyone in sight. John Brown will have a tough matchup here.
Josh Allen will need to move his feet to get rid of the ball, as he will probably see a lot of pressure from that fast Pats D.
Beasley should have a good fantasy game, as he will probably be the X factor that the Patriots ignore.
Edeleman looks sort of injured, so don’t see him having a ripper of a game.
The Patriots will do what they do. Go up early, face a comeback, then rip the guts out of them to close it out.
Patriots WIN

Rams (8-6) vs -6 49ers (11-3)

What are the Rams doing? First they are able to string a few wins together, then they look to implode on themselves. The 49ers are hurting after their losses, seeing their position in the playoffs drop to a lowly Wildcard spot. They need a win here and will have some healthy bodies back to do it.
The 49ers front line will be all over Goff, who’s O line has been patched together with old and new.
Jimmy G should have a great game, feasting on Kittle and letting Mostert gash through whatever is left.
Goff will struggle in this win, unless he is able to master some deep ball, which is an issue for the 49ers in recent weeks.
The Niners need this win. Both teams are desperate to make the playoffs, but San Fran doesn’t want to watch all of that hard work go to waste.
49ers WIN

Make sure you join our DraftKings League to play in our weekly contests. Just because you are out of your fantasy league, doesn’t mean you can’t play weekly.

Bleak 15

December 17, 2019 by nflinlondon

Yeah, that’s right. Bleak. What a woeful week in the league, as some teams played off their head, while others looked like they had their heads taken clean off.

I went 4-11-1, which is one of the worst beatings I have taken all season.
Why did I suck so bad?
Ask some of the teams I picked, who couldn’t score in the NY strip club ‘Scores’ with a wad of Benjamins.

Let’s take a look at some of these games to see what the heck happened.

Bears 13 Packers 21

And just like that, it’s over for the Bears. Despite their 3 recent wins, they weren’t able to muster much offence in the face of the Pack. Rodgers attempted to gash the Bears with a few deep ball options, but it was Aaron Jones who did the leg work, rushing for 2 big TDs.
Near the end, it looked like the Bears might threaten, but that didn’t last very long.
The Packers move up in the NFC thanks to the win, but they still don’t really seem like contenders in the face of the opposition.
Mitch Trubisky might want to move out of Chicago as soon as the off season starts.

Broncos 3 Chiefs 23

Let it snow! Let it snow! What the hell? You don’t expect much when it comes to snow games in KC, as the under points are pretty much guaranteed. I had expected the Broncos to cover the 9.5pt spread, but no. They had to suck dramatically on Sunday.
Drew Lock looked like he could use some WD40, as Travis Kelce had more yards that then whole Denver team heading into the 4th quarter.
For a team that had been so dominant in previous weeks, it sucked to see them fall apart like that.
Mahomes was on fire in the snow, and he will use that arm to melt December opposition.

Eagles 37 Redskins 27

Dwayne Haskins was putting the Eagles to sleep heading into the half, with a dominant performance that kept the Eagles on their back feet. Then the choke started to wrap around the throat of the Redksins, like Lord Vader himself was taking their breath.
Greg Ward was an absolute beast, and Miles Sanders ran all over the hapless Redskins.
I liked McLaurin in the game who had a great game.
I wrongly thought that the Redskins would keep it close, and they did…until they started fucking up.

Browns 24 Cardinals 38

This one I got right. I had the Cardinals to beat the bad bad Browns, and they sure did that!
Kenyan Drake had a 4 TD day, as the Cardinals snapped a 6 game losing streak.
Kyler Murray had a great game on the field, and on his feet.
Baker Mayfield and the Browns looked like they were playing on their backs…while hungover.
You can even hear numerous Browns players chatting to Cards players saying they want to be traded.
Reminds me of when Soviet athletes would visit America, then just leave their hotel at night to defect.
Cleveland has another full decade of losing seasons.

Texans 24 Titans 21

This was Tennessee’s game to lose, and boy did they lose it.
They were down 21 points in the 3rd quarter, and rallied to make it look closer than it was.
They now need help to win the division if they want to stay alive in the next 2 games.
Derrick Henry was choked out of another 100 yard game, as the Texans effectively put the clamps on him.
The Titans looked unstoppable in the past 4 games, now they are going to have to refocus and figure out what they need to do to get back to winning ways.

LA Rams 21 Cowboys 44

‘Dem boys were back at home on Sunday, and they delivered an ass-whopping to the Rams.
LA had been on a roll for the past 2 games, and it looked like they were starting to get their form back.
Despite Dak having a brain fart during the coin toss, they were able to dehorn the Rams in an epic fashion, erasing the big wins the Rams put together in the previous weeks.
Zeke looked on fine form, and Dallas out-rushed the Rams 263-22.
The Rams could barely find their legs all game, and Goff was Goff’ing it up once again.
Both of these teams have playoff hopes, but making it past the first round is VERY hopeful for both.

Falcons 29 49ers 22

What a week to lose a game! The flashy pants 49ers went from a first round bye, to needing some wins to guarantee that they can actually make it in.
The 49ers not only shot themselves in the foot in this one, they then shot themselves in the head while looking down their own smoking barrel. The Falcons were able to score 2 touchdowns in 2 seconds, winning the game and shocking the double denim stadium.
Jimmy G and the whole O didn’t look good against the Falcons. Yeah, you heard that right.
There was a sense of dread at the middle of the season that the 49ers didn’t have the ‘right stuff’ to win it all, and this game may have brought that discussion back.
It was good to see Julio Jones smile, but this game was ugly.

Ugh.
I now feel nauseous watching recaps of Week 15.
It reminds me of when I use to text and drink. (I don’t do that anymore)
I felt bad the next day, Monday and even Tuesday.
This was an NFL betting hangover.

Ryan’s Week 15

December 15, 2019 by nflinlondon

Who does Ryan like in Week 15? Well take a look at some of his picks here.
Ryan is currently in Florida, sunning himself for Crimbo-but that doesn’t mean he still won’t sneak away from his sleeping wife to watch NFL.
Want to make his picks?
Join our BetRegal offer and get 10 for 10 when you play the first 10 at 2:1 odds minimum.

You don’t have to bet on the NFL to make money, but it’s fun as long as you do it responsibly and within your budget. Spend what you can afford without giving in to addiction.

That being said, here are some of Ryan’s top Week 15 picks

Patriots vs Bengals

Ryan likes the Pats here to continue their beating ways. He would love for them to lose this one as it propels the Bills further forward.

Eagles vs Redskins

The Eagles still have a chance? Or do they? Ryan thinks that they do and likes them in this match.

Texans vs Titans

Can the Texans lasso the mighty Titans? Ryan thinks so, and believes that Deshaun Watson will rumble over Ryan Tannehill to take this one.

Broncos vs Chiefs

It’s going to be snowy in KC, how will that affect these two igloo-homed teams? Ryan likes the Chiefs to hold off the kicking legs of the Broncos. Going to be a great game.

Make sure you also play against Ryan in our DraftKings League, or buy some Bills gear off of Fanatics to get NFL hats, jerseys, and more.
