Corona Lockdown

March 20, 2020 by nflinlondon

We’re in lockdown, but the NFL offseason has kept us entertained with some truly magical changes.

Tom Brady is a Buc now? Really? He is the oldest guy in the league, so it does make sense to retire in Florida. Hike up those pants grandpa, it’s a whole new season.

Wade & Ryan are back, & thanks to the magic of baby wipes & a spit wiped microphone they are ready to talk NFL.

The guys break down some of the biggest moves in the NFL, and how they will impact the league going forward. That is..if there is a league.

Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Practice safe distance, listen to the pros & be vigilant. That goes for Corona & the NFL.

We will have more podcasts ahead, so stay tuned and please reach out if you want to chat as well. We are always looking for writers, so send us your stuff.

Brady Bunches

March 20, 2020 by nflinlondon

The world is going to hell and a hand basket. Still don’t know what that expression fully means, but if there were any hand baskets left on the shelves, I would happily hoard them.

As we all face a global lockdown, the NFL has been pumping at a fevered pace. Trades galore have been shuttling through social media and it can be pretty hard to keep up with what really has been happening.
The one thing that has happened is that Tom Brady is no longer a Patriot.

It’s hard to fully digest that information with what is happening in the world, especially the idea of TB12 moving to Florida & the NFC.
Sure, it makes sense for the oldest guy to retire in Florida-that’s what everybody does.

Now Tom is a member of the Tampa Bucs, and it sends a shockwave of change across the whole league.
The dominance of the Patriots has come to an end…or has it?
Will Belichick give up that easily? Or will he lick his wounds, soft out on the season to draft a QB in 2021?

Brady to the NFC brings with it a whole host of new rivalries. Brees suddenly has to face Tom twice a year at least, and the Bucs have enough speedy receivers for Tom to under throw.

Then there’s the whole Jameis Winston situation, who must be looking at self-isolation as more of a pity party than anything. Will he end up on the Chargers, or will they look to take Cam or Dalton?
There are still many ‘what-if’s in this situation, and too many possibilities to count at this moment.

They best way to deal with this new situation?
Madden.
Trade Tommy to the Bucs, and settle in for a full season.
What are the chances he makes the Super Bowl this year?

LA Karen’s

March 9, 2020 by nflinlondon

The LA Rams would like to speak to a manager, if their latest logo unveil is anything to look at.
Let’s be clear that this image was leaked, so we don’t really know how real it is.

But if this is the new Rams logo, dear Lord what have they down.
First off, it looks eerily similar to the LA Chargers with that yellow swoosh. At least the Chargers logo was supposed to look like a lightning bolt or some sort of charge, whereas this yellow loop looks nothing like a Ram or any derivation of a sheep.

How many Rams are there in LA really? Were there ever any male sheep walking around the Hollywood Hills, and some rich owner thought ‘they embody the spirit of this city!’
No way.

If this is the logo that the Rams settle on, it’s going to be a looonggg year.
Way longer than last year when Goff played scared for a whole season after a TB12 beatdown in the SuperBowl.

Ram on!

Offseason Banter-92

March 7, 2020 by nflinlondon

The offseason is SOOO boring! Luckily Wade & Ryan are here to inject some humour and insight into the the doldrums that is March.
What are you doing to kill the time in the offseason? Have you been playing Retro Bowl? You should. It’s fun.

Some of the other things the guys talk about in this podcast.

Corona Virus

Yes, it’s scary-but chances are you won’t die from it (unless you’re over 80.)
The guys talk about the potential for other sporting events facing the corona chop, and how it might affect the NFL.
Will the International Games be safe? Will the virus have disappeared by then?

Austin Ekeler

AE signs for a 4 year deal effectively tossing Melvin Gordon to the curb. What other bold moves will the Chargers do to keep their fans happy?

Dak Prescott

There are claims of Dak being offered $105 million smacker-roos, but is that too much for a guy who has not been that effective playoff wise? Will the Cowboys blow their wad on him and make the team weaker as a result.

TB12

It’s our regular feature ‘where will Tommy go’? The hype train is ready to pull into the station, where will with wheel of TB12 land?

Listen, laugh, love, repeat. This is the podcast you wash your hands too.
