Bears vs Redskins

September 24, 2019 by nflinlondon

The Washington Redskins hosted the Chicago Bears in Week 3 of the NFL, and there was a lot of anticipation on how Mitchell Trubisky would play.
His progression this season has been more linear than anything, so all eyes were on Mitch and the Bears as they face the struggling Redksins.

Thanks to the NFL, we can show you the highlights of the game!

As you can see, many Redskins fans will be clamouring for Dwayne Haskins to take over from Case Keenum who was tossed all over the field, just as fast as he was picked off.

The Bears defence continues to shine, as Kahlil Mack was on full attack throwing Case all over the field.

The Bears will take a nice win under their belt after two dramatic games.

Will they be able to continue on this pace and win as many games as they did last season, or will Aaron Rodgers and the Packers push through the division like a hot knife through butter.

Bear down!

Ep 63-Week 3 Preview

September 21, 2019 by nflinlondon

So what’s going to happen in week 3 of the NFL?
With so many quarterbacks broken and shaken, will some teams be able to complete a winning season?

Wade & Ryan look at all of the key matches this week, and add their ‘expert’ analysis to predict who will win some of these games.
What games should you be looking at for victory.

Some of the key games the guys look at are:

Broncos (0-2) vs Packers (2-0)
The Broncos limp into Lambeau facing a team that hasn’t really lived up to expectations. Wade believes that Aaron Rodgers is injured, and will face a tough contest here.
The Broncos need to get their D together.

Bengals (0-2) vs Bills (2-0)
Ryan is getting high on his own supply, believing the Bills to be the next messiah. But will they be able to joust Andy Dalton and co.? Yes. Bills are facing the Patriots in Week 4, so this will be a viable test game.

Ravens (2-0) vs Chiefs (2-0)
Here’s a guy…that everyone is looking forward to watching.
The Ravens and Lamar Jackson have people believing, but they haven’t faced anyone like the Chiefs yet. Look for Mahomes to roll on.

Raiders (1-1) vs Vikings (1-1)
The Vikings escaped a close one versus the Packers last week, and the Raiders held the Chiefs…for a bit. How will they do this week? Minnesota is at home…in a dome. That says it all.

Saints (1-1) vs Seahawks (2-0)
New Orleans was as crushed as Drew Trees hand after that huge loss to the Rams in Week 2. But will Teddy Bridgewater be able to toss this victory back to the Saints? Probably, but this will be one heck of a game.

Dolphins (0-2) vs Cowboys (2-0)
The Dolphins may very well be the worst NFL team of all time.
That’s all you need to know.

Join us Sunday at Belushi’s Hammersmith to watch all of the games.
See you Sunday.

Ep 62-Week 2 Review

September 20, 2019 by nflinlondon

What a week in the NFL!
It was good if you’re a doctor, but if you are a QB-not so good.

What the heck happened in the week, and will the NFL ever be the same again?

Our pundits Wade McElwain & Ryan Cull look at all of the big games, as well as some of the really crappy games as well.

They break down some of the big match-ups and reflect on some of the truly happy plays, so that you don’t have to.
Including:

Week 2 Games

Bears vs Broncos-Hey refs! Get your heads out of your asses. This was a truly shameful game for the fans, as the refs blew another set of key plays. How soon before we get AI or robot refs?

Bills vs Giants-The age of Eli is officially over, and the Bills are threatening the AFC (metaphorically) Will the Bills be able to tough it out this season?

Cardinals vs Ravens-Hmmm…the Ravens were stalled by Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. Is their swan song of Week 1 officially over? Too early to tell-but don’t bet the house on them.

Cowboys vs Redskins
‘Dem Boyz are 2-0 which means it’s time to over react. Are they the second coming? Or are the Redskins better than they seem. Maybe they do have something to lose?

Chargers vs Lions
The Lions finally have their roar back, and they blasted it on the Chargers. Will they be able to sustain this though? Are the Chargers out of power?

Seahawks vs Steelers
Big Ben is broken, will he ever be put back together? Doubtful. And the Seahawks D doesn’t look that solid either. How will the Steelers put the team back together again?

49ers vs Bengals
Jimmy G was in the house, and he didn’t look as horrible as expected. The Bengals continue to look like a garbage truck crashed into a methadone clinic.

NFL Team Names

September 19, 2019 by nflinlondon

How you make a Packer?
Or identify with a Ram?
Or just want to be a Brown?

Well the NFL has some storied history to its legacy, and now you can learn why certain teams were named that way.

The NFL Films have released a very cool video showing what each team went through to get where they are.

There are thousands of stories of NFL team lore, as well as some great stories of failed franchises, reckless owners and trying times in the world that made the NFL a difficult climb.
Remember when the Steelers and Eagles had to join together because WWII took so many players as soldiers that they were unable to field a full team?

We love the NFL, and we love history.
Take a look back as you await that long climb back to Sunday.
