Wildcard Weekend

December 30, 2019 by nflinlondon

Where are you watching the NFL games this weekend?
Join us in central London as we host some great NFL viewing parties, courtesy of BetRegal.
We will be shacking up with the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden to host some Wildcard NFL parties until the wee hours.

On Saturday night, we will be offering tickets to the event to guarantee entry?
Why?
Well, it’s Saturday night in central London, and we want to ensure that your NFL viewing experience isn’t interrupted by non-NFL fans.
To do that, we need to secure a late license, so that we can also show the Titans vs Patriots game which will end around 4:30am.

Long Acre is offering a welcome beer offer and seat, so that you can make sure that you have a place to watch the games.
Looking for food and a ticket? Then grab one here, so that you and your mates can grab a table.

On Sunday, it will be a first come, first sit.
We will also offer preferential seating to people who want to book a group ahead of time, so that you aren’t waiting out in the cold.

Get in touch via this site if you want to snag a table for you and your crew.

There will also be a BetRegal table for anyone who wants to be on the game.
Just sign up via our BetRegal offer, and you will be given a seat at the table, as well as a welcome beer to thank you for playing.
There will be enhanced betting offers on the day as well.

Look forward to seeing you all this weekend.

Wade’s Week 17 Picks

December 29, 2019 by nflinlondon

Are you still fat and drunk from the holidays? Then buckle in for Week 17 of the NFL, which can be as exciting/ boring/ unpredictable as a family Christmas dinner.
There are a few games that really matter in the playoff race, and some that are a fart in the wind to cap out the week.

For some of the teams that have already secured a playoff spot, they are more concerned with resting their good players, and thus the games become incredibly difficult to handicap.
Also, teams will be watching the scores of other games, and will adjust the beatdown facto they lay on the other teams-or lay-off.
This adds a wacky nugget element to sports betting.
To help you out, I have made some of my predictions to help out your betting options.

Make sure you check out our BetRegal offer. Just deposit £10 and spend it on a bet, and you get ANOTHER free £10 bet to make on another offer.

We have our DraftKings League set up as well, so pop on over and set up your team for today.

Wildcard Saturday is just around the corner, and we will be showing ALL of the NFL Playoffs at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden. For £7 you get entry and a welcome beer.

Ok, let’s take a look at some of the big games this Sunday.

-13 Saints (12-3) vs Panthers (5-10) +46

Christian McCaffrey must be tired. He has been carrying this team on his back/ legs and ego this season, and it has been a very disappointing one. What will happen next season with Cam Newton, and can they fade out this season with some dignity?
The Saints are fired up. They have 12 wins under their belt, but it’s the 3 losses that are the scary ones. They have shown some inconsistent play during some of these games, and that’s not the blueprint you want to take into these playoff games.
The Panthers won’t be motivated at home, but the crowd will be treated to a high-scoring affair.
Alvin Kamara looks to have a beast of a game, so factor him into your fantasy line-up.
The Saints are looking at home field advantage, so they will be ready to run up the score to get it that way.
Saints win big.

Dolphins (4-11) vs -15.5 Patriots (12-3) +44.5

‘At least we’re not the Bengals!’
The Dolphins had a pretty miserable season, but at least they were able to not fully trash bag the season, and walk out with 4 wins.
Ryan Fitzpatrick brought his magic to many of these games, and although they won’t get the first draft pick, they will be able to slowly start rebuilding the team.
This is a tough game, because the Patriots need a win, but they don’t need a beating of the fish.
As long as they win, they’re in-but they will be watching the Chiefs score to determine how far that beating goes.
Look for Brady to roll up some big scores early on, then let off the gas after the first half, once they know what the playoff implications are.
I can see Fitzy going out with a bang in the second half, unless he gets demolished by the Pats D.
Dolphins cover.

-13 Packers (12-3) vs Lions (3-11-1)

The Lions have had a worse season than lions being kept in an Eastern European circus.
Too many injuries, and a disappointing tough schedule have kept them in the NFC north basement.
The Packers are sitting pretty, but they need to win to secure a home field position.
Again, they will look to put up a big score, then start to coast, but unlike the Dolphins, the Lions don’t have any assets to allow them to keep this game close.
Packers win big.

LA Chargers (5-10) vs -9 Chiefs (11-4)

The Chiefs are in the playoffs, but how far are they in? Just the tip, or the full shaft?
Kansas will also be keeping an eye on the Patriots game to see how their future holds.
In the crazy chance that the Dolphins actually beat the Patriots, KC can secure home field advantage, and make the season a lot tougher for anyone willing to visit the midwest.
The Chargers have a solid front D, so look for them to chase Patrick Mahomes all over the field.
LA is one of those teams who won’t let up in this game. It’s their final season in the old stadium, so it’s a new start and new home going forward.
There will probably be more hot dog vendors in the stand than there will be Chargers fans.
Chargers cover.

I will be outlining what some of the good parlay pick options are this week, so make sure you head over to BetRegal and take me up on my predictions.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Playoff Picture

December 24, 2019 by nflinlondon

How about that Week 16 huh?
A few big teams crapped the bed in the penultimate weekend of the NFL, and it really, really hurt.
(talking to you Cowboys)

There are a few teams that still have a chance (The Raiders?!?)-but we are starting to see some of the playoff picture emerge.

The Patriots and the Ravens have taken a choke hold on the AFC, with the Bills, Chiefs, Titans and Texans pushing for those Wildcard spots.

The Packers & 49ers have beaten all comers to take the NFC post positions, while the Vikings, Saints, Seahawks and Eagles all looking for those Wildcard spots.

Want to watch the Wildcard games? Join us at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden so that you can watch all the games until 5am.

Enjoy your holidays and see you for Week 17 and the Playoffs.

Saturday NFL

December 22, 2019 by nflinlondon

Well that was a nice treat. A trio of playoff implication games on Saturday that showed who really is ready to move forward.

Jameis Winston plays all kinds of ugly. From the 2 INTs he had to start the game, it looked like it was going to be a Texas beating. But boy did he impress, tossing large to tie the game heading into the half.

DeShaun Watson was chased all over the field, as Jason Pierre-Paul rattled DW all night.

The Texans ultimately prevailed, but not without some lingering questions moving forward.

The Titans have ample ammo now to find those weak holes in the armour of the Texans.

Ready to play yet JJ?

The Patriots do it again.

Despite Julian Edelman being banged up, he was able to find numerous holes in the Bills coverage to make some great plays.

The Bills & Josh Allen didn’t let up-fighting back for scores & respect as they managed to keep this a tight game.

More importantly, the Patriots demonstrated their roadmap to the finals, executing a patient & effective play set of progression.

They used the run & roll outs in equal measure to score & keep the pressure on.

Their D kept gunning after Josh Allen, creating loads of frustration & wasted 3rd downs.

Full credit to the Bills for a close game, but they’ll need to really elevate their play if they get a pop at the Pats again.

The Rams were in full battering mode, as they choked out the Niners attempts to get the ball moving.

They would eventually lose to a last minute kick by Robbie Gould to eliminate the Rams & push the 49ers further into the playoffs.

The game was very somber however, as Niners backup QB C.J. Beathard was dealing with the loss of his brother, who was tragically stabbed in a bar earlier.

The team was able to rally despite the sadness, & constant pressure of the Rams D.

The 49ers have left themselves exposed as of late, & will really need to find that extra gear if they want to have a chance of shutting down the big NFC guns.

Good luck on the Sunday games, & make sure you take our Sunday tips to bet with BetRegal.

We also have our DraftKings league in action, play for free.

Everyone loves free

Week 15 Picks

December 15, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 15 is here like a December blizzard, are you ready for some football?
I am always hesitant to bet big on the final weeks of the season, because of how some teams will play above their ability to push for the playoffs.
Add to this some teams just don’t want to go out with a whimper, and you have a recipe for unpredictability.
But let’s take a stab at some of the games this week.

-6 Eagles (6-7) vs Redskins (3-10) +40.5

The Eagles are hurting. They have been so riddled by injuries, they have guys playing roles that they wouldn’t normally do.
The Redskins on the other hand are having some fun. They know that they suck, but they refuse to go out like a limp biscuit.
Do the Eagles actually believe that they really have a playoff chance here?
I like the Redskins the go deep on the Eagles, just like the Giants did.
The home town crowd are really going to go wild, and the Redskins are going to give themselves a Christmas miracle.

Bears (7-6) vs -4.5 Packers (10-3)

Are the Packers really a 10-3 team? Sure, they have beaten some losers, but not by much.
They have lost that zip of second half dominance and just seem to be coasting when they build up a bit of a lead.
The Bears on the other hand have started to find a rhythm now.
Trubisky looks like he can finally see the field, and it looks like Nagy has given him permission to be able to use his legs again.
This will be a different result than it was in Week 1, as the fierce Packers D seems to have settled down a bit.
Aaron Rodgers will still be the difference, but a 4.5pt spread seems a tad high here.

-9.5 Patriots (10-3) vs Bengals (1-12)

Will there be any surprises in this game, or did the Pats video everything they need to know. This is obviously going to be a point of contention here.
The Bengals are the worst team in the league, but with Andy Dalton back, do they have a little chance?
Maybe.
This is a pretty high spread this late in the season.
The Patriots don’t have a lot of offensive weapons, so I don’t see a lot of points in snowy Cincinnati.
Patriots will win, but look for the Bengals to cover this one.

Texans (8-5) vs -3 Titans (8-5)

One of these teams will be on to the playoffs, the other will be licking their wounds.
The Texans have had some great wins, but some brutal losses to losers.
The Titans are now finding their grove, pushing further into the playoffs with some great plays by Henry and Tannehill.
Playing at home will give them an advantage here, and with Fuller a gametime decision, the Texans don’t have as many weapons at their disposal as they would like.
I like the Titans to cover this spread and move on to glory.

-6 Seahawks (10-3) vs Panthers (5-8)

What in the Russell Wilson is going on with the Seahawks? They were coasting with some solid victories, but then got absolutely handled by the Rams.
Are they for real, or do they have too many problems as injuries take their toll?
The Panthers have been a real embarrassment this year. Kyle Allen has led them down the loser path, and McCaffrey has been dragging the team on their back.
They do play well at home though, and a good holiday showing will be something important for the Carolina crowd.
Panthers should be able to cover, as the Seahawks will be focused on next week.

Jaguars (4-9) vs -6.5 Raiders

It’s the final game at the LA Colosseum, and the Raiders will want to put on a home show.
If Josh Jacobs can get his wheels going, there will be trouble.
The Jags meanwhile have given up.
They are officially out of it, their D sucks, and the only real threat they have is Fournette-who may not even feel up to it.
The Raiders will look for a big win here, as they say farewell to the fans and off to Vegas.
This will be one last party.

Looking to bet on the games? Then check out our offer with BetRegal, where you get £10 when you deposit £10 to play in this weeks games.

We also have a DraftKings pool ready to play-so join in there as well!

Good luck everyone!
