DraftKings in London

September 10, 2022 by nflinlondon

It’s the start of another NFL season, which means it’s also time to up your daily NFL fantasy game.

Sure, you’re in loads of weekly leagues, dynasty’s, pick’ems, but how is your weekly DFS game?
It’s time to up it by joining our DraftKings in London League.

NFL in London League

For the past 7 years, we have been running fun, weekly NFL in London contests in our DraftKings League.
All you have to do to join it is to click here and get yourself up and running!

https://dkn.gs/r/jPPbmLURQUWWfYH-Md1G9g

In our League we have a selection of FREE and PAID weekly contests. We know that times are tough, so we have kept the entry fees rather low at this point.
Learn to play, have some fun, and only risk what you’re willing to lose.

In terms of our FREE contests, we have a few Sunday Funday contests that test your mettle and fantasy football ingenuity.

It’s tough trying to win in week 1 when you have NO IDEA who they heck is going to do what. Anyone who says that they are confident in their week 1 picks is full of it.

$3 Dolla Holla

One of our more popular weekly contests is the $3 Dolla Holla contest, where as you guessed it-entry costs $3.

It’s not too expensive, and less than a pint these days to take a punt and take on your friends in a fun contest.

If you’re looking to play in our $3 Holla Contest, all you have to do is click on this link, and you’re ready to play in Week 1.

Free Contests

Everyone loves the word FREE, becomes it means you’re going to get stuff!

Our FREE weekly contests on DraftKings are a great way to learn daily fantasy NFL, without having to worry about losing your childs’ education fund.

We have TWO Sunday Funday contests for you to choose from?
Why two?
Because that way you can play around with a couple of lineups and see how they do against each other.

Maybe you do one based on what the online pundits say, and one which is purely gut picks?

The idea is to get comfortable setting lineups by playing and practising every week.

Here is a FREE Sunday Funday contest to jump onto this week!

Week 1 Tips

So you want to want to show off to your friends that you are a DFS stud right out of the gates?
Here are a few of our choice picks to help you out in your fantasy flicks for week 1 in the NFL.

Jameis Winston ($5300)

Jameis is back! Healthy, happy, and boasting an incredible wide receiver squad, and on the backs of a solid defence.
The Falcons were truly woeful last year, allowing the second amount of fantasy points.
It doesn’t look any better for them this year.
Look to Jameis to light it up with Michael Thomas.

Brandon Aiyuk ($5200)

This 49ers phenom had an okay year last year, but looks to shine even brighter under the arm of Trey Lance.
Aiyuk has been a favourite target of Lance all preseason, and with George Kittle expected to miss the game due to injury, expect Aiyuk to grab a bunch of balls.

Miles Sanders ($5400)

There was concern that Sanders hamstring would hamper his week 1 against the Lions, but all that looks in the past-as Miles lines up for a big Sunday.
Sanders was solid last year in his healthy fantasy options, and should see the bulk of the work against a Detroit team that hasn’t enjoyed playing against quality running backs.

Nyheim Hines ($5100)

Why take Hines when Jonathan Taylor is looking to beast-feast all over the Texans on Sunday? Because Nyheim Hines sees plenty of short and slot action passes from new QB Matt Ryan.
Sure, Taylor will bust a nut through opposing lines, but Hines is there to allow Ryan to create opportunities, and use him for the Colts, like the 49ers used Deebo Samuel.

That’s it for some of our fantasy advice for week 1.

We look forward to you joining us on DraftKings for Week 1!

DraftKings Week 6

October 18, 2020 by nflinlondon

Who had Claypool in Week 5 in DraftKings? The Canadian sensation celebrated Canuck Thanksgiving with a bounty of 4 exceptional touchdowns. Did you have him in your fantasy? Neither did I.
Here are some of the picks I have in store for week 6 in the NFL.

QBs

Ryan Fitzpatrick $5900

Are you mad Wade? Taking Fitzmagic as a DK starter? Well, he is playing the Jets, and after the points he dumped on San Fran last week, I like his momentum at home. Fitzpatrick has been having fun this season, and you can see it in the way Flores makes his plays. The Jets are trash, and the Dolphins should have some fun here.

Kirk Cousins $6100

You like that? Not so much, I mean the Vikings have really struggled this year, but their ship will come in this week as they host the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta has been a defensive mess this season, allowing more points than a drunken fencer. I like matching Cousins with the Thielen for maximum points.

RBs

David Montgomery $5800

Montgomery hasn’t really had much of a break out this season, as the Bears haven’t really racked up too many points. That could change Sunday, as the Bears visit the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have allowed 133 rushing yards per game, which will only get worse this week. Hopefully they use him more in the slot option, rather than trying to bum rush Patterson for short gains.

Alexander Mattison $7200

He’s pretty pricey considering that it’s his first start as RB1, but the Vikings are facing the Falcons who struggle to contain the rush all season. Mattison will see loads of carries, and should gash the Falcons worse than 2020 has devastated the sports bar industry. I like him for at least 2 TDs.

DeVante Parker $6300

Miami is playing New York Jets, this game is going to be score-ific. Parker is the fave target of Fitzpatrick and he will easily find open holes in the Jets D. Loads of yards and maybe a few TDs to boot. Can’t go wrong for $6300.

WRs

Adam Thielen $7300

Stealin’ Thielen will look for loads of yards today as Hot-Lanta will be a steaming dump of hot on Sunday to control him. Atlanta sucks, and his pairing with Cousins will give you plenty o’points in this contest. ‘Contest’ is a funny word, since this game looks to be anything but.

Kenny Golladay $6200

Jacksonville has been falling apart as of late, as Minshew struggles anytime he doesn’t have a healthy Chark Jr. at his disposal. Gollday is Stafford’s favourite man, an he will see plenty of passes against a Jacksonville secondary who gushes zone coverage. He’s a good value for the number 1 receiver in this game.

DeVante Parker $6300

Miami is playing New York Jets, this game is going to be score-ific. Parker is the fave target of Fitzpatrick and he will easily find open holes in the Jets D. Loads of yards and maybe a few TDs to boot. Can’t go wrong for $6300.

TEs

Evan Engram $4900

Pretty much the only guy that Daniel Jones can hit on the field since he barely goes further than 8 yards a play. Engram is also the only player that can actually catch, so he is useful in short yardage. The Giants have proven they can score, they just can’t win.

Robert Tonyan $5100

Tonyan exploded 2 weeks ago for 3 touchdowns, so it’s unlikely he will match those highs, but he should be able to snag at least a TD. Rodgers will target RT often, which will also add to your point tally on the day.

DEF

Dolphins $2900

They’re playing the Jets. Last week the Miami D picked off Jimmy G so much, they pulled him from the game. Joe Flacco won’t have much success against this squad who are pumped up from recent victories, including the beat down from last week.

A few late night Sunday thoughts for your consideration.

  • London is not a 24 hr town, plan ahead. Download a tube map app, Uber (or other taxi), Citymapper, Buschecker & what3words.
  • Leicester Square is very busy and grimy. You probably won’t get in, and you might get pick pocketed.
  • Football rules. Premier League games start at 4:30pm, which means they end at 6:30pm. If you go to certain bars-they won’t switch the NFL on until after the match. Plan ahead.
  • If your table has a number on it, order from the bar. Table service is not like home.
  • The tube shuts around midnight at most stations. Late buses go 24 hrs. Download Citymapper so that you can plan your route home.
  • Watch yourself. Keep your eyes up, your phone in your pocket, and don’t take unlicensed taxis. Or rickshaws.
  • If you’re too drunk, go home. It’s bad for everyone.
  • Have fun, treat people nicely and enjoy. It’s a gorgeous city, and we’re glad you’re here!
