Divisional Podcast

January 9, 2020 by nflinlondon

The Bills are out, and Ryan is sad.
But that doesn’t mean the season is over! There’s a whole lot of NFL left to play.

Wade & Ryan look back at the Wildcard weekend in the NFL and go through their thoughts as to the winners and losers of the week, scores aside.
What was your favourite game of the weekend?

To summarise some of our thoughts on the Wildcard Weekend in the NFL.

Bills vs Texans

Way to blow it Buffalo, your second half collapsed quicker than a homemade horse costume.
The Texans were good, but not great in disposing of a fast starting Bills team. Texans are in for a humbling vs the Chiefs this weekend.

Titans vs Patriots

Are the Patriots finally dead, or was it another off year? The Titans ran all over the Pats, and their vaunted D could barely stop the fast moving Henry. The Titans have to face the Ravens now, so enjoy your playoffs while they lasted.

Seahawks vs Eagles

The Eagles were finally showed the door to their place in the league this season. Wentz was hurt early, but it wouldn’t have mattered against the Seahawks team that is gaining confidence as it rises. Wade likes them a lot next Sunday.

Make sure you subscribe to our podcast, as well as share it on social media if you like it.
See you Sunday.

Wildcard Preview

January 3, 2020 by nflinlondon

They’re back! Wade & Ryan have returned from the grey tundra of Canada to reflect on a season that was, and that wild one yet to come.

Sorry for the silence on the podcast front, family first. Plus the wifi in Canada blows.

The boys look ahead at the big weekend games in the mighty AFC & NFC contests.
With the Texans, Patriots, Saints, & Eagles hosting, anything can happen.

If you like Wade’s picks, make sure you head over to BetRegal to make it happen.

Easy peasy.

AFC

Bills vs -3 Texans

A tough fight for the Bills as Deshaun Watson has his legs and some of his receivers back. Can Josh Allen triumph in his rookie debut?
Wade Texans Win
Ryan Bills Win

Titans vs -5 Patriots

You lost to the Dolphins. Can the Titans use the storm and legs of Henry to blast the Pats D, or will they all fall into one of Uncle Bill’s famous tickle traps?  Tickle, tickle.
Wade Patriots Win
Ryan Titans Cover/Lose

NFC

Vikings vs -8 Patriots

Drew Brees and Michael Thomas at home, ’nuff said. The Vikings won’t go down without a charge however. They have deep ball threats and Cook might be able to find some pockets.
Wade Vikings Cover/ Lose
Ryan Vikings Cover/ Lose

-1.5 Seahawks vs Eagles

The Eagles get to play at home after that shambolic season? The Seahawks are beaten like a trailer park cat, & old Skittles may not be the answer. It’s Russell Wilson though.
Wade Seahawks Win
Ryan Seahawks Win

Take Wade’s picks and win big this weekend. Make sure you check it out here.

Dolphin’d

December 30, 2019 by nflinlondon

Hahahahahahhahahaha!
Ok, got that out of the way.

The New England Patriots looked absolutely anemic in their beating by the Dolphins on Sunday night, and raises some big, furry eyebrows as to how their going to progress in the playoffs.

They just needed to win, and they were through to home field advantage in the playoffs.
How hard could it be to beat the Dolphins?
Ryan Fitzpatrick and is his beard?

The Dolphins played off their heads, challenging the Pats at home and making the New England defense look befuddled.
Fitzmagic sprinkled his dust all over the field, hitting targets at will and moving the ball with ease.

The Patriots were expected to be on return form after their handling of the Bills last week, so what happened here?

It’s hard to say really, as Tom Brady actually looked human.
When was the last time you saw TB12 throw a pick six?
Well, he did.

Instead of having a week off, the Patriots have to face off against the Titans next week in a chilly grudge match.
The Titans were able to dismantle the Texans with ease on Sunday.
This was the Texans team who beat the Patriots a few weeks ago, so it doesn’t look good for the Pats heading into a match-up with Henry and Tannehill.

‘Do your job’.
Obviously that wasn’t done.

Join us at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden to watch this late match up on Saturday night.

We will also be offering some great betting options with BetRegal that night.

Join in our DraftKings League where you can also win some great cash and prizes.

See you next weekend.

Week 15 Picks

December 15, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 15 is here like a December blizzard, are you ready for some football?
I am always hesitant to bet big on the final weeks of the season, because of how some teams will play above their ability to push for the playoffs.
Add to this some teams just don’t want to go out with a whimper, and you have a recipe for unpredictability.
But let’s take a stab at some of the games this week.

-6 Eagles (6-7) vs Redskins (3-10) +40.5

The Eagles are hurting. They have been so riddled by injuries, they have guys playing roles that they wouldn’t normally do.
The Redskins on the other hand are having some fun. They know that they suck, but they refuse to go out like a limp biscuit.
Do the Eagles actually believe that they really have a playoff chance here?
I like the Redskins the go deep on the Eagles, just like the Giants did.
The home town crowd are really going to go wild, and the Redskins are going to give themselves a Christmas miracle.

Bears (7-6) vs -4.5 Packers (10-3)

Are the Packers really a 10-3 team? Sure, they have beaten some losers, but not by much.
They have lost that zip of second half dominance and just seem to be coasting when they build up a bit of a lead.
The Bears on the other hand have started to find a rhythm now.
Trubisky looks like he can finally see the field, and it looks like Nagy has given him permission to be able to use his legs again.
This will be a different result than it was in Week 1, as the fierce Packers D seems to have settled down a bit.
Aaron Rodgers will still be the difference, but a 4.5pt spread seems a tad high here.

-9.5 Patriots (10-3) vs Bengals (1-12)

Will there be any surprises in this game, or did the Pats video everything they need to know. This is obviously going to be a point of contention here.
The Bengals are the worst team in the league, but with Andy Dalton back, do they have a little chance?
Maybe.
This is a pretty high spread this late in the season.
The Patriots don’t have a lot of offensive weapons, so I don’t see a lot of points in snowy Cincinnati.
Patriots will win, but look for the Bengals to cover this one.

Texans (8-5) vs -3 Titans (8-5)

One of these teams will be on to the playoffs, the other will be licking their wounds.
The Texans have had some great wins, but some brutal losses to losers.
The Titans are now finding their grove, pushing further into the playoffs with some great plays by Henry and Tannehill.
Playing at home will give them an advantage here, and with Fuller a gametime decision, the Texans don’t have as many weapons at their disposal as they would like.
I like the Titans to cover this spread and move on to glory.

-6 Seahawks (10-3) vs Panthers (5-8)

What in the Russell Wilson is going on with the Seahawks? They were coasting with some solid victories, but then got absolutely handled by the Rams.
Are they for real, or do they have too many problems as injuries take their toll?
The Panthers have been a real embarrassment this year. Kyle Allen has led them down the loser path, and McCaffrey has been dragging the team on their back.
They do play well at home though, and a good holiday showing will be something important for the Carolina crowd.
Panthers should be able to cover, as the Seahawks will be focused on next week.

Jaguars (4-9) vs -6.5 Raiders

It’s the final game at the LA Colosseum, and the Raiders will want to put on a home show.
If Josh Jacobs can get his wheels going, there will be trouble.
The Jags meanwhile have given up.
They are officially out of it, their D sucks, and the only real threat they have is Fournette-who may not even feel up to it.
The Raiders will look for a big win here, as they say farewell to the fans and off to Vegas.
This will be one last party.

Looking to bet on the games? Then check out our offer with BetRegal, where you get £10 when you deposit £10 to play in this weeks games.

We also have a DraftKings pool ready to play-so join in there as well!
