Patriots vs Bengals

Ryan likes the Pats here to continue their beating ways. He would love for them to lose this one as it propels the Bills further forward.

Eagles vs Redskins

The Eagles still have a chance? Or do they? Ryan thinks that they do and likes them in this match.

Texans vs Titans

Can the Texans lasso the mighty Titans? Ryan thinks so, and believes that Deshaun Watson will rumble over Ryan Tannehill to take this one.

Broncos vs Chiefs

It’s going to be snowy in KC, how will that affect these two igloo-homed teams? Ryan likes the Chiefs to hold off the kicking legs of the Broncos. Going to be a great game.

Week 14 Review

The podcast review show is up, as Wade & Ryan look back at a shaky betting week in the NFL. Both guys went 8-6-2 for the week, which is good-but not great.
As we mentioned before, the last 3 weeks can have some unpredictable scores.

Some of the games the guys touch in on the podcast include:

Broncos 38 Texans 24

Way to go Drew Lock and the Broncos for making a season out of it. They exploded on the Texans who had no answer to the relentless onslaught of the Broncos deep ball. The Texans were totally outclassed, outgunned and out played in this game. It really puts their playoff chances in doubt, when it’s shown they can be beat by countless deep ball chances.

49ers 48 Saints 46

Once in a few years, a game comes along that delivers a great NFL product. This was the game. An endless back & forth of scoring by two great offences and defenses. Brees & Jimmy G each punched each other with scores upon scores, until the 49ers rallied late to score. Both teams played like they are both destined to play again with greater stakes at risk.

Redskins 15 Packers 20

The Packers won. But did they really? They put up some quick points, only to just sit on their lead. The Redskins made this a contest, and you wonder what the Packers will do when they face a team that can score back. The Redskins made some great little plays, and their D was able to adjust to Rodgers in the second half. Closer than the 13 point line suggests.

Chiefs 23 Patriots 16

The Patriots lost..again. This was a tight match that saw Tom Brady’s throwing options as pretty much zero. Mahomes looked ok, but not daunting enough to win a big playoff game. The Patriots will need to rebound if they want to win it all, but if anyone can do it, it’s them. The Chiefs might find themselves in the same early exit fate as they did last year. A win, but was it enough?

Naughty Phillip

Did you know that Phillip Rivers is a naughty, naughty potty mouth?
It’s true.

When most people think of Phillip Rivers they think about a guy who has never won it all.
A guy who stuck it out in a town that was tired of the NFL, and hence he had to pack it up to another city where they were even less enthusiastic about football.
Also most people make fun of the fact he has 58 kids, all named with the acronym P.R.

What most people don’t know is that Phillip Rivers is a trash-talking, rib tickling, NFL fanny-fart.
When you watch the clip, what really strikes is that Rivers don’t give AF.
It’s like he represses all of his anger throughout the week, just to be able to save up for Sunday.
(you better not curse on the Lord’s day mister!)

What will happen to Rivers next year?
Will he tough it out in the wilds of LA, or will he seek greener pastures for his team and family.
It also brings up the question of how many more years he might have in the NFL.
Would anyone be willing to take a chance on him in 2020 knowing the old dog only has a few tricks left?
Given the crop of injuries and QB failures in the league…anything is possible!

 

The Rise of Jimmy

Gotta love a good trailer cut with unlicensed NFL footage.
That’s what this guy did here in a touching and emphatic tribute to Jimmy Garoppolo set to a Star Wars theme.
Not sure how long YouTube will allow this sucker to be up here-but it’s a fun watch.

Baby Yoda, Baby Yoda, Baby Yoda.
Anyone else getting sick of this little idiot?
Let’s be real for a second-the only reason Baby Yoda exists is to sell Christmas toys.
Anyone who thinks that it is there to ‘save us’ or is an allegory to something grander in your existence is kidding themselves.
It’s all about the Baby Yoda.

So is Jimmy G the Baby Yoda of the NFL this season?
Well-there are probably loads of women across America that might have named one of their ‘toys’ Jimmy G, so who knows.

The real question is will they be a fad this year, or do they have the force to be able to dismantle their opponents.
The stage is set between an epic fight, and if history and culture are prepping us for who the villain is-it seems pretty obvious.
The Patriots.

If the Patriots face the 49ers in the Super Bowl this year, then Disney had something to do with it.
To create an epic franchise of good vs evil, well that’s their game.

The video is fun though, even if the thought of Baby Yoda is annoying.

Bear Fight

The Bears laid a beating on the Cowboys on TNF, but it wasn’t just limited to the field.

Thanks to the savvy, sober fans at the game, they were able to pick up this post game melee in the concession area.

Watch as a few Bears fans get the better of a couple of Cowboys fans who are hell bent on a little fist a cuffs.

The Bears fan gets a few shots in, while the Dallas fans are left to struggle to contain their adrenaline. The fight just like the game is pretty much over. And just like the Cowboys, these guys will have to face the video the next day to see the extent of their ass-whopping.

It’s never great to see violence in the stands, or at a game. You look like a drunken idiot who can’t control your emotions. Add to this children as spectators, and this needs to be ended immediately. Fortunately in North America, this doesn’t happen very often.
