2020 London NFL

Jeremy Hill in London

October 1, 2020 by nflinlondon

Remember when London use to host NFL games? Good times. We brought back those good times with a TBT interview with former Bengals running back Jeremy Hill.

In 2016 the Bengals hosted the Washington team (formerly Redskins) in a fun filled affair at Wembley stadium. The game ended in a 27-27 tie, with Hill scoring the last TD for the Bengals.
It was the second tie of the season, which hadn’t happened previously in 1997.

We were fortunate to interview Hill at the Saracens Rugby ground in North London where we talked to him about numerous NFL things.
We chatted about the rise of Fantasy football and how players deal with it, as well as if he plays Madden, and which RB he uses in games.

Lastly we touched on the big issue…who does he think is the best player in the game.
The answer might surprise you.

We will be uploaded interviews from previous NFL in London games throughout this season, as we wipe a tear away from our eyes and think about the season that would have been here.

Which game did you think was the best of the NFL in London series thus far?

Sky Week 4

September 30, 2020 by nflinlondon

UPDATE-New Game announced!
Are you ready for some Sky NFL? They have released their games for Week 4, and there are some great games and a few stinkers.

Thursday is a real stink fest as the NY Jets host the Denver Broncos. Both are 0-3 and have been riding the suck wave since the start of the season. Luckily it’s on at 1:30 am so you can sleep.

Sunday brings us Steelers vs Titans at 6pm…or does it..NOPE. You know get to watch the Browns vs the Cowboys. You know you want it.
9pm is the Patriots vs Kansas City Chiefs, which should factor in as one of the best of the week and high scoring.
Just a note that these games are unavailable on NFL Gamepass.

Late Sunday/ early Monday is the Eagles and 49ers in another snooze-a-thon, so you might want to wake up for this one.

Monday Night/ Tuesday morning is the Green Bay Packers hosting the Atlanta Falcons in a high scoring affair. How much of a lead will the Falcons blow this time?

New Helmets

June 23, 2020 by nflinlondon

What’s the new NFL going to look like? That’s a question that gets updated every week. With the virus still popping up in the southern states, it will be interesting to see how many waves to expect.

Fans won’t be expected in the same capacity at all this season. It will be doubtful if food & drinks will be a part of these games. Given the success football has had piping in artificial crowd noise, the NFL will be keen to replicate this.

As for the players? These mock up helmets for the Bears could be a sign of the future. The air filter will be important in the huddle, so look to the league to employ some NASA like tech. No spitting, eye protectors & gloves you can burn after the game.

Maybe it’s being blown out of proportion, maybe the worst is yet to come, maybe we get a vaccine. Too many maybe’s for it to be a full go ahead season.

It’s too bad the London games were cancelled, but fortunate as they would have been a logistical nightmare.

As for watching the games live in London, that’s not looking like a possibility for anyone’s safety. Let’s figure out a way we can do this,

Stay safe, & watch for our NFL Quiz in July.

Brady vs Philly

May 24, 2020 by nflinlondon

Are you watching The Match 2, possibly the greatest sports show of 2020? Tom Brady revealed on the show that the Eagles are tougher than anyone & the Falcons weren’t worth the cringe. Eagless fans must be happy. Here are a few things we’ve seen on the show.

Brady Sucks

As much as TB12 can rip up an NFL field he has hit more water in this match than the Kennedy’s. He’s gracious about his failings & cocky when he hits a great shot.

Mickelson is Off

WTF Phil, you’re a pro golfer?! Why is he ducking & ditching? The team in blue is struggling as they move to 18.

Tiger Rocks

Tiger Woods has been beasting it all day, hitting green harder than Mike Tyson. He is killing this game. Him & Peyton are playing this like champions.

Watch the match & let us know what you’re thinking!

Passing Leaders

May 18, 2020 by nflinlondon

Drew Brees is a beast, with some of the most successive passing seasons in the NFL.

Horse faced Peyton Manning is still the champ, loading down a season where he literally lit up the league when he was aided by a get team.

Brady was able to string a good season as well, but his deep ball years look to be behind him. He has some wheels this year in Tampa, so he might finally be able to do something solid.

Will Mahomes or Jackson take over the helm? With another game added this season there’s a chance. Many records are about to get broken. Will anyone be there to witness them?
