Week 6-Pick ‘Em

Week six, almost a third of the way through the season, and the big question hasn’t changed: is anyone actually good? Wade and Ryan answer it the only way they know how, with fourteen picks and one very strong opinion about Netflix coverage. Make sure you listen to the Week 6-Pick’Em podcast.

Thursday Night Football

Seahawks at Broncos (SEA -2.5, O/U 40.5)
Ryan sees two ugly teams and one desperate Sean Payton, so he takes Denver 21-20. Wade says Surtain being out matters, Seattle hasn’t lost back-to-back since 2024, and Payton calling plays doesn’t make Bo Nix a Shanahan quarterback. He takes Seattle 20-16 and admits he won’t be staying up for it. His halftime prediction is 6-3.

Sunday in London

Texans vs. Jaguars (JAX -3, O/U 42.5)
The Jags are technically the home team, and Ryan thinks the extra week in London helped them, so he goes Jacksonville 24-21. He’s also eyeing a sneaky under on Marvin Harrison Jr.’s yards, projecting around 20. Wade was spooked by Jacksonville going 0-for-3 in the red zone and picks the Texans 21-18, with their defense finally making Trevor Lawrence’s afternoon hellish.

Early Window

Titans at Colts (IND -7, O/U 44.5)
Nobody’s giving Tennessee a chance. Ryan has Jonathan Taylor scoring twice and Cam Ward being left to “do his thing,” which is not a compliment: Colts 26-10. Wade wonders when Tennessee finally calls for Mitch Trubisky, but still can’t find the points. His pick is Colts 21-13.

Panthers at Eagles (CAR -1.5, O/U 43.5)
Ryan expects a lot of boos in Philly, plus Bryce Young playing at an MVP-ish level against a short-week London hangover: Panthers 24-17. Wade drops a stat: teams coming off London and facing a team off a bye are 0-4. He thinks it goes 0-5 and the Panthers light it up, Panthers 28-20.

Steelers at Buccaneers (PIT -2.5, O/U 39.5)
The two hosts rarely agree on a score, but here it’s the same one: Steelers 21-17. Their logic is to shut down Bucky Irving, let Jalen Daniels try to beat you, and let Aaron Rodgers keep dumping it to Jalen Warren. Ryan adds that if Pittsburgh loses, it’ll be the most Steelers loss imaginable.

Ravens at Browns (BAL -5.5, O/U 42.5)
Ryan says Cleveland always keeps it close, but he doesn’t love Tyler Huntley or how hard Derrick Henry is being run in September: Ravens 24-20. Wade notes 19 Ravens on the injury list and says Deshaun Watson’s comeback magic won’t be enough: Ravens 23-20, with Cleveland covering.

Saints at Giants (NO -1.5, O/U 45.5)
Is it disrespectful that the Giants are underdogs? Both hosts say yes. Ryan calls it a Jameis revenge game and goes Giants 27-24. Wade compares the Saints’ defense to a leaky bucket and has the owner yelling on the sideline: Giants 27-20.

Jets at Patriots (NE -7.5, O/U 43)
Drake Maye is back, “born again” in Wade’s words, and Ryan doesn’t see the Jets having the weapons to keep up: Patriots 28-17. Wade likes New England but not the cover, with David Bailey and the Jets keeping it tight: Patriots 24-20.

Bears at Falcons (CHI -1.5, O/U 50.5)
Wade is nervous, with Bijan Robinson “running the shit out of the ball,” and his Bears are coming off the Packers punching them in the throat. After running what he describes as multiverse-style simulations, he lands on Bears 28-26, a Rocky-movie slugfest. Ryan, a believer in Caleb Williams’ hammies, goes Bears 30-27.

Late Window

Cardinals at Rams (LAR -11.5, O/U 51.5)
Ryan wants Puka Nacua overs “all over the place” and predicts a beatdown with Stafford sitting by the fourth quarter: Rams 38-13. Wade can’t lay 11.5 in Week 6 and thinks Arizona has a bit more fight after getting shellacked by Detroit: Rams 30-20.

Chargers at Chiefs (KC -8, O/U 41.5)
The biggest split of the week. Ryan calls it a casket match for Harbaugh and goes Chargers 24-23. Wade says the Chiefs had a bye week, Harbaugh looks like Obama at the end of his second term, and Kenneth Walker is going to run wild: Chiefs 30-18.

Bills at Raiders (BUF -5.5, O/U 53.5)
Ryan will take Josh Allen over Kirk Cousins every day of the week: Bills 31-21. Wade says the experiment is over, at least until Mendoza gets his shot, and wants cheeky bets on Dalton Kincaid: Bills 33-23.

Sunday Night Football

Cowboys at Packers (GB -1.5, O/U 52.5)
Ryan says a letdown is coming after Green Bay’s perfect game, so he takes Cowboys 31-28. Wade agrees it’s a shootout between two bad defenses and takes Dallas by the thinnest margin possible, Cowboys 31-30.

Monday Night Football

Washington at 49ers (SF -7.5, O/U 50.5)
After getting mocked across the league, Washington might come out swinging. Ryan has a three-point game that might even go to overtime: 49ers 26-23. Wade thinks Washington keeps the spread tight, but San Francisco gets it done: 49ers 24-20.

The Takeaway

The two agree on eleven of fourteen winners. The Seattle-Denver, Houston-Jacksonville and Chargers-Chiefs games are where they split. Wade also wants every Washington player wearing a Flavor Flav-style clock around his neck, Dan Campbell included.

Enjoy the games, and if you’re heading to Wembley, good luck getting an Uber home.
