Conference Preview

January 18, 2020 by nflinlondon

And then there were 4. 28 teams are eliminated, and now we have the Titans vs Chiefs & the Packers ve 49ers…so who wins?

Wade & Ryan break down the Divisional Championship games, the look ahead to the games this weekend. Who do you have?

Titans (11-7) vs -7 Chiefs (13-4) + 53

The Titans have blasted their way through the playoffs on the legs of Derek Henry, while the Chiefs have obliterated teams with their offence.
If the Chiefs build a lead can Ryan Tanehil make a comeback?
Doubtful.
If Chris Carson is back, the Titans will have an uphill battle.
Both Wade & Ryan see the Chiefs through to the SuperBowl.
Chiefs WIN

Packers (14-3) vs -7.5 49ers (14-3)

The last time these two teams face off in week 12, it was an ugly game. The 49ers smoked the Pack 38-7 & shut down their whole running game. They also chased Rodgers across the field the whole day.
While the Pack have shored up their O Line, San Fran has a healthy D ready to pummel A Ron in every way.
Both Wade & Ryan see the Packers seeing close, but the 49ers should win this one.
Packers COVER.

Make your bets on Betway this week, plus make sure you join our DraftKings League.

See you Sunday at Long Acre. Super Bowl tickets on sale this weekend.

Conference Championships

January 14, 2020 by nflinlondon

London is not an NFL city. Sure, we are fortunate enough to get 4 amazing games each year, but when it comes to watching and supporting the NFL at venues across the city-you will be hard pressed to find a good venue that is consistent.

Sadly, many of the sports bars (if you can call them that) and pubs shut early on Sunday nights, and even if they do show the NFL it will be without sound and after the footie has finished.

We have struggled to find good venues in the city that offer 1) a true NFL experience 2) good viewing with sound 3) open late 4) close to tubes/transit 5) good food and drink  6) not too expensive 7) truly care about NFL fans.
You would be surprised how tough it is, especially number 7.
Why? Big pub chains want you in, but they don’t really care to offer you a selection of games or listen to the fans.
It’s a work in progress, but it takes time.

Luckily, we have a great venue cracking on for the playoffs in the Long Acre in central London.
Recently refurbished with loads of TVs and amazing sound, it is one of the few places open late and willing to get late licenses.

Which is why we are very happy to be able to show the games this Sunday, with a late license going until the wee hours.
You can settle in and watch both games with sound.

We are charging a nominal amount for tickets to cover the license and security, but you get a great deal as a result.

The bar will be open until 4am, so that you can catch the end of the NFC Championship match.

We will also be showing the Super Bowl here as well.
There are LOADS of venues showing the Super Bowl in London this year, but ask yourself ‘do they ever show the NFL throughout the season?’
If the answer is ‘No’, ask yourself what kind of experience will they be putting on?
Probably one where they take advantage of you, grab your money and don’t offer anything of entertainment or sporting value.
Shame, shame, shame.

Join us for authentic NFL in London fun.

See you Sunday!

Week 15 Picks

December 15, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 15 is here like a December blizzard, are you ready for some football?
I am always hesitant to bet big on the final weeks of the season, because of how some teams will play above their ability to push for the playoffs.
Add to this some teams just don’t want to go out with a whimper, and you have a recipe for unpredictability.
But let’s take a stab at some of the games this week.

-6 Eagles (6-7) vs Redskins (3-10) +40.5

The Eagles are hurting. They have been so riddled by injuries, they have guys playing roles that they wouldn’t normally do.
The Redskins on the other hand are having some fun. They know that they suck, but they refuse to go out like a limp biscuit.
Do the Eagles actually believe that they really have a playoff chance here?
I like the Redskins the go deep on the Eagles, just like the Giants did.
The home town crowd are really going to go wild, and the Redskins are going to give themselves a Christmas miracle.

Bears (7-6) vs -4.5 Packers (10-3)

Are the Packers really a 10-3 team? Sure, they have beaten some losers, but not by much.
They have lost that zip of second half dominance and just seem to be coasting when they build up a bit of a lead.
The Bears on the other hand have started to find a rhythm now.
Trubisky looks like he can finally see the field, and it looks like Nagy has given him permission to be able to use his legs again.
This will be a different result than it was in Week 1, as the fierce Packers D seems to have settled down a bit.
Aaron Rodgers will still be the difference, but a 4.5pt spread seems a tad high here.

-9.5 Patriots (10-3) vs Bengals (1-12)

Will there be any surprises in this game, or did the Pats video everything they need to know. This is obviously going to be a point of contention here.
The Bengals are the worst team in the league, but with Andy Dalton back, do they have a little chance?
Maybe.
This is a pretty high spread this late in the season.
The Patriots don’t have a lot of offensive weapons, so I don’t see a lot of points in snowy Cincinnati.
Patriots will win, but look for the Bengals to cover this one.

Texans (8-5) vs -3 Titans (8-5)

One of these teams will be on to the playoffs, the other will be licking their wounds.
The Texans have had some great wins, but some brutal losses to losers.
The Titans are now finding their grove, pushing further into the playoffs with some great plays by Henry and Tannehill.
Playing at home will give them an advantage here, and with Fuller a gametime decision, the Texans don’t have as many weapons at their disposal as they would like.
I like the Titans to cover this spread and move on to glory.

-6 Seahawks (10-3) vs Panthers (5-8)

What in the Russell Wilson is going on with the Seahawks? They were coasting with some solid victories, but then got absolutely handled by the Rams.
Are they for real, or do they have too many problems as injuries take their toll?
The Panthers have been a real embarrassment this year. Kyle Allen has led them down the loser path, and McCaffrey has been dragging the team on their back.
They do play well at home though, and a good holiday showing will be something important for the Carolina crowd.
Panthers should be able to cover, as the Seahawks will be focused on next week.

Jaguars (4-9) vs -6.5 Raiders

It’s the final game at the LA Colosseum, and the Raiders will want to put on a home show.
If Josh Jacobs can get his wheels going, there will be trouble.
The Jags meanwhile have given up.
They are officially out of it, their D sucks, and the only real threat they have is Fournette-who may not even feel up to it.
The Raiders will look for a big win here, as they say farewell to the fans and off to Vegas.
This will be one last party.

Looking to bet on the games? Then check out our offer with BetRegal, where you get £10 when you deposit £10 to play in this weeks games.

We also have a DraftKings pool ready to play-so join in there as well!

Good luck everyone!

Week 15-Sky Games

December 10, 2019 by nflinlondon

It’s Week 15 folks, so forget your families and holiday shopping to focus on the most important thing in your life right now…the NFL.

Sky Sports has released its Week 15 schedule so that you can watch the big games. and there are some great ones on tap this weekend.

The 6pm (UK time) game features a divisional match-up between the Texans and the Titans.
The Titans have been rolling under Tannehill lately, and their punishing running game has really made it difficult for several teams around the league.

The Texans are still smarting from that Week 14 beat down by the Broncos, and will be looking to grab some kind of momentum against this staunch Titans team. Will they be able to continue their playoff hopes, or will the Titans grab the early lead in the march to 2020?

The 9pm game features the LA Rams vs Dallas Cowboys, not the greatest game in the world-but two teams in desperate need of a win. Can the Rams finally right their ship, or is it too little too late?

The late game will feature the Bills and Steelers in a must win situation for both, with Buffalo really hoping that they might be able to steal a lead from the Patriots.

Pop by the Princess Alex in Crouch End to watch all of the games.

See you Sunday!

Week 13 Picks

December 1, 2019 by nflinlondon

Wade-W13-picks

It’s Week 13, and things are heating up post Thanksgiving turkey games!
Who do have in this week’s games?
There are a lot of crapola games, and some key matches that have Super Bowl implications.
Obviously the 49ers vs Ravens will be the big game of the week, and the Patriots vs Texans is the key AFC game.
But how can you make money this week off the NFL?
By taking my picks, that’s how silly!

Weather. One of the big things to watch this week are any games that are played on the East coast that are outside. There is a nasty ThanksG storm rolling across the shoreline, and with flights being cancelled-expect that this also applies to footballs that are thrown. Expect snow, heavy winds, and frigid turf. Running will be the way to go, but ball control will be even more important.
On Sunday’s like this, GO FOR THE UNDER!
Choose the Under on any games on the east coast this week with these ket home teams: NY Giants; Ravens; Steelers. The Bengals, Panthers & Dolphins could also see some gusts and cold conditions.

Here are some of the key games I think are good for parlays to punch your ticket to some NFL wins. I’m still hitting a wicked 66% of picks correct against the spread heading into these games, putting me ahead of most Vegas sports book makers and pundits. You can check all my scores each week with our picks and by listening to our podcasts.

Take these bets to BetRegal, and also look at our DraftKings League.

-2.5 Bucs (4-7) vs Jags (4-7)

The line on this game has changed a few times. I snagged it on a early ticket at -1 Jags, which was a steal. The Bucs are now 2.5 pt faves and rightly so. So long as Jameis can shuttle the ball without dropping it, TB should be able to bust the ball deep into the cats end. The Jags have seen their D drop in talent dramatically, and are a shell of their former selves. Nick Foles better do something at home, or he will soon be looking for another job. Bucs should easily be able to handle their Florida brother cousin lovers.
Bucs WIN

Titans (6-5) vs -1 Colts (6-5)

The line on this one was originally 2.5 for the Colts, but has changed due to injuries and the heat of the Titans. Yes, they have won a few straight and Tannehill is pumping it like a champ, but this is a divisional bugaboo. The Colts have owned the Titans at home, and this should continue Sunday. Brissett and the boyz need to get that ball moving fast and deep into the Titans secondary. The have the defense to limit Henry, & if they put the pressure on Tannehill the Titans will make mistakes.
Colts WIN

-2 Browns(5-6)  vs Steelers (6-5)

The helmet game is back again! Tensions will be simmering after massive mantras for calm in this divisional slugfest. The Browns are beaming after the win a few weeks ago, while Mason Rudolph will be a mere witness in this contest. It’s the Steelers at home, so they should be more focused and driven to deliver with Duck at the helm. The Steelers are gutted by injuries so they will have to see what they can bandage in this one. I like them to chase Baker and for them to make mistakes. The weather is going to be horrible, so home field is a good bet.
Steelers WIN

The weather is going to make betting tough this week, so it’s a good week for home teams and favourites.

Good luck this week!
