June News

June 11, 2022 by nflinlondon

Well it’s June NFL fans, which means all we need to do is get this pesky summer over with, and we’re back in the NFL sweet spot.

Let’s look at all of the action ahead in our June News!

Are you excited for the upcoming NFL season, or are you dreading another miserable season for your squad?

London Games

Are you ready for the NFL London games for 2022?
If you haven’t been locked in a cave, then you know that we have some pretty sweet games on tap for this autumn, as we get the Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints on October 2nd, New York Giants vs Green Bay Packers on Oct 9th, and finally the Denver Broncos roll into Wembley to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on October 30th for a spooky Hallo’s eve contest.

Tickets for the Tottenham games go on sale on Monday June 20th for season ticket holders, and premium packages for the games will go on sale on June 22nd.

Prices for the games will range from £64 for category seven nose-bleeders to season tickets for both games in the sweet seats for £292.
Make sure that you get your tickets early and you DON’T bother with ticket scalpers.

Wembley game tickets will go on sale soon-watch this space.

Elementary Watson

The Browns went all in on Deshaun Watson, pulling back the towel and letting all the bits hang-but will he be hanging with the team this year?

Another allegation is rubbing and tugging on Watson, as the Browns get that icky feeling that they might need the snubbed services of Baker Mayfield for 2022 if Watson gets iced for a bunch of games.

While nothing has been proven in court, the court of public opinion os slowly turning the tide on the Browns as this saga goes on.

Let’s hope it all gets settled and the Browns can go back doing what they do best, frustrating their fans.

Spanos in the Works

Speaking of owners, Chargers owner Dean Spanos is being sued by his sister over claims of misogyny in the organisation.

Dea Spanos (really mom & dad?)-said that her brothers acted out of a sense of entitlement, and subverted women’s rights in their wrestling of control of the team.

Dean Spanos was quick to retort ‘Shut the fuck up Karen’and get back to the kitchen’.

Family huh?

Walmart Broncos

Attention Denver shoppers, there is a blue light special in aisle 7, as Rob Walton snaps up the Denver Broncos for a whopping 4.65 billion dollars.

It’s the highest price ever for an NFL team, and one that will make all the other owners happy as clams, pushing the value of their product even further.

Walton is one of the heirs to the Walmart empire, and should be an interesting owner in terms of his net worth-as some of the Walton kids hover around the $58B.
Not too shabby, and puts him in the upper echelons of the richest NFL owners.

Other teams that might be next on the sales block includes The New Orleans Saints, the Chicago Bears; Seattle Seahawks, LA Chargers and of course the Washington Commanders.

Out of the top 100 viewed programs on American TV last year, 92 of them were NFL games-meaning this game is only getting bigger. (or all other wokey TV is just crap).

J-Lo Mould

Dancer Jennifer Lopez has looked back at her 2020 SuperBowl halftime performance with Shakira, and called it the ‘worst decision in the world’, putting decisions of genocide, purges and holocausts on the back burner.

Despite barely being a singer, actor, or influencer, Lopez felt that having two headliners on the stage would distract the fans, who of course were only at the SuperBowl to watch menopausal women gyrate while children in cages watched on helplessly.
Even Janet Jackson’s nipple was heard to comment ‘WTF girl!’

Jebbifer make the remarks in an upcoming documentary about her vapid life, while Shakira loves anything that isn’t a comment on her marital demise to a much younger football player.

At least they both had to pay to perform, which is the lesson really learned here.

NFL Pools

Do you guys want to join in some NFL pools for the 2022 season?

We’re looking at expanding on our fantasy offerings, and would love to get your input.

What kind of season long fantasy would you guys like to get involved in? How much do you want to spend to enter?

Let’s do this!

May Memes

May 18, 2022 by nflinlondon

Wowza! What a crazy few weeks its been in the NFL!

Loads of big NFL news to tap into, but we thought we would kick it all off with some tasty NFL May Memes.

Memes are delish, and help content providers encapsulate the feels, with an image. Bless all those unsung heroes who are able to do the good work, when there is so much bad in the world.

Among some of the hot topics touched on in this set.

London Games

Yes! 3 games in London this season, and we got some games!
While we were wrong in our predictions, we didn’t fare too badly.

All the London game info up soon.

Jerry Jeudy

And just like that, another NFL speedster gets the heave ho after breaking the law.

Jed can look forward to going his ‘Bama teammate Henry Ruggs in the cell of shame.

2022 Schedule

The 2022/23 schedule has been released, and it’s looking good for some teams, while another tough schedule ahead for some of the big guys.

All eyes are on the Buffalo Bills this season, as the odds on faves to win it all.

Here are some of the memes for ya, you filthy animals.

Slappy Happy

March 30, 2022 by nflinlondon

You would think that the fight training on ‘Ali’ would have given Will Smith the ability to throw a punch, just proving not everyone is a natural athlete.

Mile High Stadium partially burnt down after Russ starting ‘cooking’, Jimmy G is still waiting by the phone, and the Bills are ready for business, as Wade & Ryan break down the last NFL news in their Slappy Happy podcast.

Make sure that you listen to it here, or on all of your fanciest podcast hosts.

Among some of the things that the boys discuss in this episode includes:

NFLinLondon · Happy Slappy-Ep 194

Jag Offs

The Jaguars have announced that they will be playing home games at Wembley for the next 3 years.

Despite Tottenham building a fancy pants new stadium, the Jags have a loyalty to Club Wembley for the next few seasons.

Will the Jags be any good by then? How do spend so much money every year to continually disappoint?

The guys discuss the Jags, Wembley and how the stadium use to be a parking lot around it…literally.
Good times.

Pundit Punts

Nantz and Romo run CBS.while Joe Buck and Troy hold down ESPN, but wait a minute…here comes Amazon.

Pretty crazy that we’re at the point in the NFL when ex-players turned commentators are making money that some players can only dream about.

In the UK, we don’t get as much of the banter due to streaming rights, but it seems like a heck of a lot of money!

Spoiler Alert! Wade and Ryan make NOWHERE near to that amount, nor will they in their entire lives.

I’m Cam!

Cam Newton would like to remind everyone that a) he is available to play and b) he is still alive.

What a dramatic drop from the former legend, as his legacy continues to dip everytime that he takes the field.

Colin K should be paying attention to the struggles of poor Cam.

Newton continues to train, but his age and poor decision making continue to increase with age.

Minority Report

The NFL is finally doing something to address the gaps in the Rooney Rule, by enacting some new rules to encourage the hiring of minority coaching staff.

All NFL teams will now be required to have at least one offensive coach of colour on their payroll. (Sorry Jon Gruden, you’re still considered too offensive.)

Historically, NFL teams lack offensive coaches of colour, so this should help as a first step to addressing the inequalities in the league.

It sadly doesn’t help the current plight of Brian Flores against the Miami Dolphins, which as taken another turn this week with talk that two other coaches could join in the lawsuit.

It should never have to come to coaches having to sue teams for discrimination, but if that’s the only way to fix it, then Flores On!

Bills Mafia

Ryan is totally stoked on the future of the Buffalo Bills, as they make some sweet offseason moves to get themselves into the final show in 2022.

First the Bills signed veteran D-Man Von Miller, who is fresh off a Super Bowl win with the LA Rams.

They signed a slew of other top players from OJ Howard to Duke Johnson, signalling a focus of shoring up the gaps that made them beatable in 2021.

Add to this a new stadium deal for the Bills, and the future is starting to look bright!

Unless of course they choke again and debt leverage themselves so far into the future, they can only communicate with the Green Bay Packers.

London Games

So we have 3 London games coming up this year!

What’s the plan?

We are working with some new partners to help promote and expand on our fun for the London NFL games.

Watch this space, as we will have some big news rolling though in the upcoming weeks!

Stay safe, and screw you COVID!

56 Review

February 21, 2022 by nflinlondon

Congrats to the Super Bowl winning LA Rams for holding out for the big win at home to win Super Bowl 56.

The Bengals came close, Eli Apple got burnt, OBJ got hurt, the commercials suck, and the whole world has gone crypto in our 56 Review podcast.

Wade and Ryan break it all down in this podcast, as it has become evident that their love of the NFL will take a hit over the next 6 months, as the game hits its off season slumber for the next 6 months.

Here’s the podcast you filthy animals.

NFLinLondon · SuperBowl 56 Review-Ep 190
Among some of the other things that the guys talk to in this episode includes:

TB12

Adam Shefter might have ruined the news, or even inspired Tom Brady to come back for another shot at the title with a different team.
The rumour mill is churning that SoCal boy Tommy wants to end his career playing for his childhood idols, the San Francisco 49ers.
With Jimmy G riding off to the sunset, the Niners are holding out for Trey Lance to hold the keys to their future.
Will San Fran invest in the diminutive Lance, or will they crack open the wallet to welcome TB12 back to Cali?
When it comes to Tom Brady, nobody knows what to expect.

Jackson Mahomes

Was he banned from attending games? Was he caught doing cocaine at a concert? Does he actually do anything?

Jackson Mahomes was in the news again, like a stunted Kardashian.

Patrick’s little brother (and fiancee) have denied that they are being banned from attending future games, but it would really help us all if they were.

Can you still send someone to the ‘Russian Front’?

A-Aron

You can’t mention Tommy without throwing a bone to Aaron Rodgers.
Despite his desire for a ‘Last Dance’, Rodgers was once again interrupted in his journey for trophy glory, by those pesky Niners.
Add to this a separation from his fiancee (he really hates rings), and a world of wonder emerges as to what they fate of Aaron will be in 2022.
The Packers have no money, and will most likely leverage their foreseeable future trying to chase a title like the Rams did.
Will Aaron stay in Lambeau, or will he test the waters in Denver, Pittsburgh, or beyond?
Wherever he goes, just know he’s smarter than you.

Crypto Crazy

Watching the Super Bowl ads, one would think that crypto runs the world, or at least is in the pockets of every major actor.
Big celebs hocking digital currency after a pandemic shows us just how broke ass some famous people must be.
Looking at you Larry David…

Flores

Brian Flores blew up the league when he pointed out the obvious and ignored signs of racism in the league.
Despite everyone thinking that Flores would never coach again, the Steelers did a turn and hired him as the defensive co-ordinator.
The lawsuit against the league still goes ahead, but well done on Pittsburgh for taking a chance on a guy who definitely deserves a job in the league.

London Games

We have NFL games in London scheduled for 2022! Hooray all around.
While we don’t know the exact dates, and teams that will be popping over the pond, we do have a better idea of who will be coming over to entertain English crowds.
One NFL game is confirmed in Munich, as the rumour mill is churning out that the game could be a contest between the New England Patriots, and the Chicago Bears.
Watch this space for more news on the NFL in Germany.
As for the London games, we know that there will be two games at Tottenham, and another at Wembley.
The Wembley game will feature the Jacksonville Jaguars, and a yet to be named NFC team.
The New Orleans Saints have also tipped their hand that they will also be popping over to Blighty this season, using their London visit to oblige the league, and satisfy that they don’t need to return for at least 8 years.
Who will the other teams be? We will make our guesses throughout the season.

Super Thanks

Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to our fantastic Super Bowl parties on Sunday.
Everything was full and fun, and good times were reported by all.
We look forward to promoting more great games for you in 2022!

Diviz Memes

January 27, 2022 by nflinlondon

Geez Louise, what a weekend of NFL we just had! To break it all down, we have some Diviz Memes from the past weekend!

The Bengals get their wild cat on by delivering a vicious thump to the number 1 seed Tennessee Titans, then the 49ers march into Lambeau and leap ahead to the post season.

Not to be outdone, TB12 then steps up Sunday night for a punch for punch game that saw the old dawg head home, and new dawg Matty Stafford finally step up for a win.

Then came the game of the weekend, as the Buffalo Bills and KC Chiefs traded it out for a wicked Sunday evening of NFL.
If you haven’t seen the game, it goes down as one of the greatest NFL Playoff games in our lifetime.
Shame about the result, but what a game!

To honour the weekend that was in the NFL, we have compiled some of the best memes from the Divisional Sunday in the NFL, and popped them into a little post so that you can enjoy them all.
