Week 10 Memes

November 17, 2021 by nflinlondon

Another wild and wacky week in the NFL, as winners turned to losers, losers continued to lose, and the Lions finally got a tie.
Hopefully Dan Patrick won’t have a coronary now that the pressure is kind of a smidge.

To honour the football that just happened over the past 72 hours, we give you Week 10 Memes.

Tom Brady look a loss to the balls on Sunday, after coming off a refreshing bye. The Washington Football Club might not have any naughty emails from TB12, but they have his number.

Here are some hilarious memes that sum up the week and thoughts from week 10.

Week 9 Memes

November 14, 2021 by nflinlondon

What a crazy week that was in the NFL!

First Von Miller kicks it all of by making a move to the Rams, and then Henry Ruggs III made some truly bone headed decisions that took lives and his career.

Then of course there were the wild and wacky week 9 games, with the Broncos laying a major turd on the chests of the Dallas Cowboys.

Not to be outdone, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Urban Meyer gave it the old ‘college girl try’, as they were able to stifle the Buffalo Bills and irk out a week 9 win.

Oh yeah, and Aaron Rodgers probably only tells us what we want to hear, and doesn’t really care about what people actually think.
That’s just the impression that people are getting.

Until then, enjoy these memes to make your week 10 kick off in style!

News of Nov

November 9, 2021 by nflinlondon

Week 9 in the NFL felt like a year, with all of the news, injuries and bat crap craziness.

Let’s take a look at some of the storylines swirling around the league as we head into week 10, with our News of Nov.

Make sure you join us every Sunday at either the Sports Bar & Grill Old Street or Clapham, where we will be showing all of the games plus Redzone.

Josh Allen

Josh Allen was the star of Week 9, after not only sacking Bills QB Josh Allen, but also intercepting him and scooping up an Allen fumble.

The Bills too a major beatdown from Urban Meyer and the Jags on Sunday, in what seemed to be an equal shock to both teams.

The normally pedestrian Jacksonville defence looked to be the top of their game, as they held Buffalo to a frustrating Sunday of football.

Urban Meyer keeps his job safe for another week, despite a potential injury to Trevor Lawrence, while the Buffalo Bills need to have a talk amongst themselves to figure out what went wrong.

It was a good day for Josh Allen regardless.

Raided

What a bad week for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Not only did Henry Ruggs III make a truly boneheaded move that resulted in death, but rookie Damon Arnette was also cut from the team for bad behaviour.

Arnette reportedly threatened to kill numerous people, as well as harm.

Whatever is going on in Las Vegas, it needs to change as the bad boy reputation of the team continues to drag them down.

Baker BJ

OBJ and his dad got their way, as Odell rode off to free agency after a disintegration of their relationship.

Baker Mayfield and the Browns responded in week 9 by absolutely trashing the Bengals in an ugly affair.

Cleveland has a great O line and a solid D, it’s the uo and down play of Baker Mayfield that makes this team hard to trust in the long run, especially the way that the Titans are playing.

Bear Mauled

In a true game travesty on MNF, the Chicago Bears were royally screwed by bad, bad refs.

In fact the refs were so bad, many Bears fans are tossing out claims of corruption and fix, after some truly biased calls by the refs.

A taunting call that had no taunting, and a ref leaning in to make contact with a Bears player, only so that he could throw a flag on the player for running into him.

Bears fans are livid, and the refs better watch their backs.

Rodger Me

Aaron Rodgers continues to have the spotlight shine on him, after it was revealed that he is not vaxxed and thinks he is smarter than everyone else.

Rodgers recent antics in the past few weeks must be a relief to the Packers, who will be losing the all star QB next season.  Why court that kind of drama when it’s going to overshadow the team every week?

Packers fans were hopeful that the new heir apparent Jordan Love would step up last week to offer some sort of heroics, only to look like a giant turd against a very weak Chiefs squad.

Green Bay fans can look to Boston to see what their future holds.

Just another average team, with an average QB.

Dem Boyz

Michael Irvin has been choking on his own spittle for the past few days, as his Dallas Cowboys laid a giant turd against a mediocre Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Teddy looked far superior to Dak, and the running game of the Broncos could not be stopped as they stole a W from the Cowboys.

Fans in Texas will wonder if this was just a blip, or if the Cowboys just aren’t that good.

Sports Bar Week 10

Immunised-Week 9

November 4, 2021 by nflinlondon

What a topsy turvy week it’s been in the NFL.

Week 8 brought us some major upsets, as well as injuries.
The week that followed brought us big news that the bug is still in the league, and some folks have their own stance on it.

Wade and Ryan lock and load it all down for you in this episode of the podcast we call Immunised- Week 9.

NFLinLondon · Immunised-Week 9-Ep 167

Week 8

Oh what a headache week was, as the injure bug picked off a few more victims.

Derek Henry went down for a large chunk of the season after suffering a massive win over the Colts. Fantasy fans will be livid that King Henry is absent from their lineups after infecting heavy losses on weekly opponents.

The New York Jets came alive by skinning the Bengals thanks to the heroics of Mike White.
Mike who?
Yep, Mike White stepped up to toss for over 400 yards and making a rich bettor even richer after taking such a leap of faith on the rookie.

Squeaky Kermit and the Chiefs were able to tomahawk a victory over the sad as fluck Giants.
Kansas City keeps itself alive for another week, but the shine is off the trolley as opponents are keenly aware of how easy it is to rattle Mahomes.

Miller Time

Von Miller is off to the Rams, making and Los Angeles squad even deeper and darker.

Having to face Aaron Donald every snap is scary enough, but adding the blistering energy of Von Miller is sure to take this top D to new heights.

Best of all, these guy’s will not only come to his Halloween party, they’ll probably even pay.

Oh BJ

Odell Beckham Jr. once again was under the shadow of his father, after the latter went on a tear about how his son was left open too often by Bunker Mayfield.

The Browns responded by not allowing Beckham to practice, which is a quick sign that OBJ will be hitting the Ohio highways in search of catching pastures.

Many teams would love to snag the services of this unappreciated receiver, not the least of whom would be his old buddy Sean Payton in New Orleans, who could use some speed after the loss of often injured Michael Thomas this week.

Rodgered

Aaron Rodgers made the news this week when it came out that he had failed a COVID test. The oopsie daisy got even smellier when it emerged that Rodgers wasn’t even vaccinated, and opted for a homeopathic treatment instead.

Pots called kettles black, kettles called their lawyers as the media scrambles to figure out what the league will actually do here.

Rodgers blatantly misled reporters and fans by claiming he was ‘immunised’, a tacit dodge of whether or not he had been jabbed.

Aaron will miss Week 9 versus the Chiefs, but it remains to be seen if the NFL or indeed the media might demand answers and justice for having deceived his health status to those who might have trusted his jabs.

Ryan’s Picks

Ryan has  a few choice picks for week 9, but you should listen to the whole podcast to get the full flavour.

He likes the Chargers (-3) to rebound in true electric fashion, zapping the poor Eagles in a solid win to get back they season.

Get out the sourdough, Ryan likes the 49ers (+1) to strike gold against the weekend Cardinals. Hopkins and Green will be out, leaving poor Kyler to face that pass rush. Upset win here.

Raider (-3) nation will be happy that Ryan is big on the pirates to steal a victory for the sad sack Giants.
Ruggs might be facing life, but what happens in Vegas…doesn’t work anymore.

Wade’s Picks

Tyrods’s Texans (+6.5) could keep it honest with the Dolphins, in what could be the worst game of week 9.
Gaskin will probably gash the Texans for maximum yards, but Tyrod will be able to hit Cooks to keep this close.

Bill Belichick might be a master as of late, but his castaway Gilmore might have something to say about his trip to the south.
The Panthers (+4) have found some mojo in the form of Christan McCaffery, who should be able to stay healthy for a play or two.
Carolina will pop out an upset here to make old Bill sad faced.

As Bears fan, Wade is obliged to hate the Packers (+7.5), but can’t see why they are underdogs by more than a touchdown. Green Bay’s D is a force to be fumbled with, and Jordan Love has been slowly cooking for his chance to shine.
Packers win.

Sports Bar and Grill

Both locations of Clapham and Old Street will be rocking all weekend long with NCAA football and NFL action.

Old Street stays open until 12:30am and Clapham until 11pm.

Week 6 Preview

October 15, 2021 by nflinlondon

Another awesome NFL game is headed to London, as the Dolphins and Jaguars do battle at Tottenham Stadium this Sunday.

The battle of Florida awaits, as does over 60,000 excited fans, as we break it all down in our Week 6 Preview podcast.

Wade and Ryan look at the upcoming match between Miami and Jacksonville in north London, as well as breaking down each week 6 game to make their score predictions for all the games.

Make sure you have a listen, a laugh and a cuddle for this one, as it has all the feels that you’re looking for.

NFLinLondon · Week 6 Preview-Ep 163

Among some of the other things discussed in this episode includes:

London Games

It was a crazy week of NFL in London last week, and judging by what we’ve heard, you guys had fun, as well as some issues.

It’s London, and the NFL, so be prepared to be shocked by prices, forced into queues, and be subjected to a strict bag policy.
Let’s not forget that only a year ago we were dreaming of live events, so please plan ahead when you’re coming to the games.

Beer might be £1.99 up north, but you’re in London now baby. Get that £8 note ready.

London Travel

If you’re looking to join us at the Sports Bar & Grill Old Street after the game, the easiest way is via Liverpool Street Overground or trains.
It’s 40 minutes direct, and only a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street to Old Street to get to the pub.

As per the NFLUK and the TFL

The Victoria line will be very busy before and after the Game and fans are advised to travel from Liverpool Street station, if possible, with services to and from Northumberland Park station offering twice the capacity of services to and from White Hart Lane station.

An additional 80 stopping services will call at Northumberland Park, starting at 11.30am and finishing at 8.40pm, ensuring that even in the event of overtime, there is adequate capacity to return fans to Liverpool Street.

After Parties

Looking to party after the game NFL style?
We got you covered!

The Sports Bar and Grill Clapham will be open before, after and during the games for all your NFL fun.
Located just on the high street, this lovely sports bar has cold beer, hot wings, and cool customers.
The pub is open until 11pm on Sunday.

Late night hawks will want to pop over to the Sports Bar & Grill Old Street, which not only boasts over 50 TVs showing the NFL, but it’s also open until 4am!
Plenty of time to get stuck in for some football shenanigans all night long!

Folks are booking their tables quickly, so get yours to avoid disappointment!

Fans looking for a way to avoid the crush of traffic to the game should consider the Princess Alexandra in Crouch End.
This traditional pub is not only open til 12:30am Monday mornings, but it’s a quick ride to both the stadium and central London.

Hit the Alex before the game, then grab the W3 bus directly to the stadium.
Just repeat and rinse on the way back, and you’ll be in the pub with a pint in your hand quicker than you can strip a hot wing of its meat.

London Game

Florida man fights Florida man in front of British people, could be the headline in this affair, as Tua returns to battle Trevor Lawrence.

Hardened NFL fans might point out that the two teams only have 1 win between them after 10 games, but casual fans are just happy to have the NFL back!

Ryan likes the Jags to get the W here, with Trevor Lawrence pulling out all the stops to get the home victory.

Wade thinks that the return of Tua plus the cloud over Urban’s head will be too much. Mike Gesicki will steal the show, as the Dolphins move on to claim their second win of the season.

Ryan-Jags 30 Dolphins 24
Wade-Dolphins 21 Jags 18

If you are going to the game, make sure that you join us after at one of the many parties we have going on.

It’s going to be a Sunday Funday!
