NFL Fights

November 13, 2019 by nflinlondon

Fight! Fight! Fight!
The refs are tough in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean they can stop all of the testosterone flooding onto the field every Sunday.
Fighting has continued in the NFL, and there ain’t nothing wrong with that!

Not sure if this video will get us flagged, but we thought we would share a nice little compilation of NFL fights that have happened up until week 10 in the NFL.

Again-these rights belong to the NFL-so this could get taken down-but what a shit show!

What would happen if we allowed some fighting in the NFL like the NHL?
If the NFL allowed 2 dudes to helmet off and batter each other for a few minutes until one capitulates?
Bring it on.

Who do you think the toughest guys in the NFL are?
Aaron Donald is a beast, Kahlil Mack could mess you up, and JJ Watt could crush you with a smile.
Not the same in the ring though.

Greg Hardy made the transition to MMA, so it only seems a matter of time before other players start doing it as well.

Week 10 Review

November 13, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 10 is done and dusted, and we have learned a lot from the games & upsets that shook our hearts in the NFL.
The Saints took a mushroom stamp to the cheek, the Bills tossed salad on their winning ways, and the Bears struggled to find ways to move the ball.
Which teams look solid going forward?

Wade & Ryan break down all of the games, as well as live stream this podcast on Facebook.

They go over some of the big games and surmise what went wrong, what went right, and how it will determine their forward fate.
Some of the games they discuss include:

Chiefs vs Titans

Ouch. Ryan Tannehill made you look stupid, and that hardly ever happens. Mahomes reverted to his Kermit self and was a total Muppet in this game, as the Titans D clamped down. Henry looked phenomenal for a guy you would normally keep on your fantasy bench.
What will the Chiefs do going forward?

Bills vs Browns

The Browns needed a win, and got it-but did it in a ramrod fashion. How many times do you need to be inside the 10…and still not score? The Bills looked like they were calling it in, already planning their Sunday night wing plans.
The Browns won, but are still hopeless.
Coaching does matter huh?

Falcons vs Saints

Matty Ice is on fire! Too bad the Saints looked like they were soaked in accelerants. The Saints had room to lose, but not by this bad and this much. They actually made the Falcons look good, which is a bad thing to do.
Brees and Payton need to get this offence humming again and score at will.
If they don’t learn from this game, it’s trouble.

Ravens vs Bengals

Watching the Bengals, is like watching a documentary on killing tigers, then harvesting their organs as entrees at Chinese weddings. It is sad, and you wonder what actual real good comes out of it.
The Ravens and LJ were riding high after smacking the school bully the previous week.
That bully will be back though, and daddy has some plans.

Lions vs Bears

The Lions were down the incredible Matt Stafford, and still managed to make a game out of it. Depleted and broken, they were close to stabbing the Bears in the eye. Mitch Trubisky looked like his usual self in the first half, then came alive in the second half to shred some points.
He still is Mitch though, and committing to him going forward is an issue.

Best RB Quiz

November 10, 2019 by nflinlondon

NFL RB QUiZ

Can you name some of the best running backs in the NFL?
Are you able to smell out the ‘Sweetness‘, taste the ‘Juice‘, or will you be sucking up ‘Diesel‘?
Get 20/20 or get run over by the ‘Bus‘.

The answers to the quiz are at the end of video.

Walter Payton

Who would be my top running back of all time?
Not much time to think on this one.
It would have to be Walter Payton.
Sure, he’s a Chicago Bear, I have a bias to them, & he was one of my all time heroes growing up.
He’s still the best.
Walter was called sweetness not only for his fancy moves on the field, but of his charisma, charm and integrity off the field.

Emmitt Smith

I also grew up hating Emmitt Smith.
Only because my friend John Prpic was a Cowboys fan, and I loud bulwark during the heyday of Troy & the boys.
He was darn good though.
‘Catch 22’ could cut through a defence like Christmas paper and not leave any blood.
That Cowboys team was a solid one.

John Riggins

Diesel was crazy. I remember watching him in the 80s’ with my dad, & he was enthralled with how fierce Riggins was. Riggins played like he was on meth & enjoyed it. He beat up other teams, gashed yards & enjoyed it. Later on, he also delved into media, which was equally awesome to watch him try to act, and not like it was on a substance.
No personalities like that these days.

Bo Jackson

Everybody knows Bo.
Bo blew up my childhood more than when I created mustard gas when I was 10.
Watching him dominate in 2 sports was a revelation of potential.
Bo knew and did it all.
He was black Santa, that killed it in every sport.
When I’m drunk I don’t call my exes, I watch old video of Bo Jackson running up the wall to catch a baseball.

OJ Simpson

Say what you will about OJ, murdering his wife, being a dick, fathering a Kardashian..he actually played football. And like, good.
Juice gave Buffalo hope to a town that was only known for massacring, frying & marinating chickens for their non-flight ability.
That’s a lot of hope.

Jim Brown

Jim Brown was a bad ass-mofo.
Not only could NO ONE stop him on the field, he was cool off the field as well.
Brown beat up other teams with his punishing assault on their D line, putting the fear of injury in many a man who needed a smoke during the turnovers.
Number 32 was also a great actor and mentor as well as an inspiration to African American artists & athletes.

How many can you get right on this tough quiz?

I would be truly impressed if you could get 20/20 on the first go.

Wade’s Week 10

November 10, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 10 is here, and I make my top picks for Week 10 in the NFL.

Last week was a dick-punch for me.
Sure, there were a few games that got away from me, but there were also some that were just a toss because of stupid mistakes made by stupid players.
I ended up going 4-8-1, which severely hurt the 74% high I was riding on previous to this.

Let’s hope I can rebound in Week 10, which has some truly stinker games in it.

Some of my top games to look at:

-6 Chiefs (5-3) vs Titans (4-4) +48

All hail Mahomes! That’s right, he screwed his knee back on and is ready to battle the Ryan Tannehill and the rest of the Tennessee team.
Matt Moore played great in his absence, and the D really came together for them when they needed it.
The Chiefs are pushing for that second home field spot, so they will be punishing teams like they did at the start of last season.
Look for this one to get out of hand.
Chiefs win big.

Falcons (1-7) vs -13.5 Saints (7-1) +44.5

Drew Brees is also back, and has had another week to rest and prepare for their division rivals.
Matt Ryan is also back after a week of watching his team lose AGAIN, so I wonder how motivated he will be?
13.5 points is a pretty big ask in this one, even with New Orleans playing at home.
Will they really want to crush the Falcons into dust, or do what they did last season and experiment?
Look for them to move the ball around, and you might even see Taysom Hill in there just for fun.
Kamara will still have a beast of a game.
Saints win-Falcons cover.

Cardinals (3-5-1) vs -4.5 Buccaneers (2-6) +52

Hmmm, the Bucs are favoured by 4.5 points exactly now? This seems a big spread give how Jameis loves to drop the ball. Sure, they can put up a lot of points, but they also make a lot of mistakes.
Kyler Murray is growing in confidence, and I could see him having a fun game here.
He will spread the ball around and run against this defense who will start seeing ghosts.
Cardinals WIN.

Dolphins (1-7) vs -10.5 Colts (5-3) +44

The Dolphins aren’t even trying anymore, and it shows soooo baddd. Why do the fans even bother going out to support them? The Colts have the aged Brian Hoyer in today, which makes me wonder what he can do? He had a great game last week in support, and this veteran could have another big game.
I am tempted to take him in the DraftKings pool, as he is very cheap-but he could also suck the big one for no points.
It is Miami though, and while they might suck, you can never really count them out.

Week 10 Preview

November 10, 2019 by nflinlondon

Week 10 is already upon us! Geez-this season has just blown by.
Not blown by if you’re a Dolphins, Bengals or Browns fan…but some some-just blown by.

So who wins the big games in Week 10 of the NFL?
Wade McElwain & Ryan Cull are here to break down some of the big games in this podcast.
Make sure you subscribe and listen every week so that you don’t miss out.

Some of the games that they talk about this week include:

The Battle of New York

This would have been epic, in say another time or dimension, but this game is looking like it’s going to be a ‘boo-fest’ of displeasure.
The Giants have been beaten up worse that gravity and posture could ever humble a Giant, while the Jets look like they are being flown by JFK Jr.
This game will stink really bad.
Wade & Ryan discuss how.

Bills due in Brown-Town

The Browns are favoured by 2.5 points in this game, which might seem a bit insane-until you realise that the Bills have barely played anyone this season of value.
The Browns will be hungry and at home, and Baker Mayfield better show some signs of life-or this whole team that they assembled won’t be worth it.
Wade and Ryan both think the Bills are due a loss here.

Soldier On

The Bears host the Lions on the eve of Remembrance Day, and Soldier Field will be feeling pretty dang patriotic.
Can Mitch Trubisky put together a capital effort here against the Lions.
Given that they usually play Detroit well at home, this is a MUST win game for Mitch.
The crowd will be loud, and the further Mitch falls behind, the more the crowd will want his head.
Wade & Ryan both think the Bears can pull this off though.

Tennessee Hoedown

Patrick Mahomes is back! He rotated that knee back into place and he is ready to take on the Titans at home. Matt Moore put in a good performance, but after the Pats lost last week-the Chiefs have to feel motivated that they aren’t out of this.
Ryan Tannehill will be chased, poked and prodded and will face a tough day from this improving Chiefs D.
Mahomes should have a big day, and the Titans will fall.
