And then there were 4. With each team that is lost, another group of memes appears to replace them.
The more teams that get knocked out, the bigger and funnier the memes!

Make sure you make you bets for this Sunday with BetRegal, and join in our DraftKings League.
Until then-enjoy the memes!

See you Sunday in London at the Long Acre bar in Covent Garden.

Conference Championships

January 14, 2020 by nflinlondon

London is not an NFL city. Sure, we are fortunate enough to get 4 amazing games each year, but when it comes to watching and supporting the NFL at venues across the city-you will be hard pressed to find a good venue that is consistent.

Sadly, many of the sports bars (if you can call them that) and pubs shut early on Sunday nights, and even if they do show the NFL it will be without sound and after the footie has finished.

We have struggled to find good venues in the city that offer 1) a true NFL experience 2) good viewing with sound 3) open late 4) close to tubes/transit 5) good food and drink  6) not too expensive 7) truly care about NFL fans.
You would be surprised how tough it is, especially number 7.
Why? Big pub chains want you in, but they don’t really care to offer you a selection of games or listen to the fans.
It’s a work in progress, but it takes time.

Luckily, we have a great venue cracking on for the playoffs in the Long Acre in central London.
Recently refurbished with loads of TVs and amazing sound, it is one of the few places open late and willing to get late licenses.

Which is why we are very happy to be able to show the games this Sunday, with a late license going until the wee hours.
You can settle in and watch both games with sound.

We are charging a nominal amount for tickets to cover the license and security, but you get a great deal as a result.

The bar will be open until 4am, so that you can catch the end of the NFC Championship match.

We will also be showing the Super Bowl here as well.
There are LOADS of venues showing the Super Bowl in London this year, but ask yourself ‘do they ever show the NFL throughout the season?’
If the answer is ‘No’, ask yourself what kind of experience will they be putting on?
Probably one where they take advantage of you, grab your money and don’t offer anything of entertainment or sporting value.
Shame, shame, shame.

Join us for authentic NFL in London fun.

See you Sunday!

Wade’s DraftKings Line-Up

January 11, 2020 by nflinlondon

Do you even DFS bro?
It’s daily fantasy NFL time, and I have compiled a list of players that you could put on your DraftKings line-up.
I did, and I won money last week, so it’s up to you.

It’s always tricky when you only have 4 games to choose from, because there are the obvious choices, but you need to make sure that you grab the high value targets, as well as be able to splash out on some of the cheaper options that will still give you points.
With some injuries across a few of the teams, there is value to be had I tell ya!

Here are some of the picks I made for my teams.

QB

Jimmy Garoppolo $5600

Yes, I overlooked Lamar, Partrick, Aaron & Russell, because I am looking for value.
The 49ers should be able to put up some points on a Vikings D that is weak against the deep pass.
Whether it’s Samuel or more likely Kittle, Jimmy G will at least get 2-3 touchdowns at home.
For $5600, he’s good value to let me choose other players.

RB

Gus Edwards $4900

Mark Ingram’s back-up? Yep. Ingram is hurt, but likely to play, so how will he be used?
Edwards will be used in a power back role, as well as in goal line situations, which makes him a safe bet for a few points. The Ravens won’t want to be throwing him into the line of fire, especially if they have a lead. So look for Edwards to be used in key roles.

WR

Deebo Samuel $5200

Samuel has had a fantastic season, despite coming into fruition a little late in the game. He has speed, great hands and can really get some good yards going after the catch. For $5200 he is great value for potential points. He has the speed to mess up Minnesota in the back field, and I like him to be cagey for the Vikes to deal with.

Tyreek Hill $7600

Splash that cash baby! Watch for the cheetah to totally blow past the Texans D on Sunday. How are they going to contain a guy that is totally healthy and ready to rip them a new one? His should easily surpass 100 yards and at least 1 TD on Sunday, so make sure you make room for him in your line-up.

TE

George Kittle $6200

Kittle is the man! The main TE this season who can get open, make the big plays and gash for yards after the catch. I can’t see how the Vikings will contain him. There are too many big players to worry about, and Kittle finds the holes then rips them open even further. Worth the spend.

DEF

Chiefs $3200

Everyone is healthy and at home. If (when) the Chiefs start building up a lead, DeShaun Watson is going to have to shuttle that ball around. So if he makes a mistake, who gets it? That’s right, the Kansas D.

Other players I chose this week include: Emmanuel Sanders (SF) $5400, Marquise Brown (BAL) $4400 & Aaron Jones (GB) $7400

So there’s my line-up for this weekend.

Wade’s Picks

Weekend Picks Against the Spread

It’s Divisional Weekend in the NFL, so I thought I would share my picks for this weekend.

There are some pretty damn tight games, as well as some pretty high spreads-which means this one will be tricky when getting the point spreads and the overs right.
I also always like to check the weather, as that will affect the over/under in most games-as it’s tough to score in snow!
Luckily it looks like a pretty placid weekend, even in Green Bay.

If you want to take my picks, head over to BetRegal-where they have some great offers for NFL divisional weekend. Take my picks and win big.

We also have a DraftKings contest on this weekend, so see if you can win big in that one as well.

So here are my picks for the weekend.

Saturday

Vikings (11-6) vs -7 49ers (13-3) +45

The Vikings and 49ers seem to be at opposite ends of the playoff spectrum. The Vikings started sluggish, then rebounded near the end of the season, while the Niners crushed everyone to start, before giving up a few suspect losses.
Yes, the Vikings do have momentum and a healthy line-up heading down to the Bay area.
The 49ers have played extremely well at home, and with that extra week off-will be anticipating the deep ball threat of the Vikes.
The big difference here is going to be the 49ers front 7 vs Kirk Cousins.
If you can get to Kirk, the offence is going to fall apart. He’s not a scrambling QB, so if they can get him on his back feet-they will score.
I like the Vikings to keep it closer than the 7 point spread, but these Niners with a week off will be too much to handle.
George Kittle will have a great game as well.
VIKINGS COVER

Titans (10-7) vs -9.5 Ravens (14-2) + 47

How do you solve a problem like Lamar Jackson? You don’t.
He is too fast, too smart, and has incredible QB IQ.
I think even Dr. Strange would need to go through multiple universe possibilities to see how the Titans can beat the Ravens.
Sure, they beat a hobbled Tom Brady and the Patriots last weekend, but the Pats averaged more yards than they did.
With a week off, and plenty of film to review the Ravens will be focused on shutting down Henry & Tannehill.
Henry will be tough, because he can pretty much through everything.
Tannehill on the other hand will be suspect to some huge pass rushes and a fierce secondary looking for loose balls meant for AJ Brown.
The Titans might be able to score on a scripted play early on, but the Ravens will pile on the pressure.
This one could be over by halftime.
RAVENS WIN

Sunday Games

Texans (11-6) vs -9.5 Chiefs (12-4) + 50.5

Looking for points? This game promises loads of them, as Patrick Mahomes heads to home field with a week off.
The Texans were able to overcome a plucky Bills team to steal a victory last week, but can they do it this week?
No way.
The Chiefs have a healthy roster back, and redemption in mind after their loss to the Texans this season.
Kansas has also improved on its D, with many healthy bodies back in the fold.
Can’t see anyway that the Texans will do anything but crumble under pressure in this game.
CHIEFS WIN

Seahawks (12-5) vs -4 Packers (13-3) +46.5

The Packers are 13-3 with a bye, but did they really whoop anyone this year?
Is anyone really scared of the Packers?
Yeas, they have home field advantage and the Seahawks have sucked at Lambeau in the past, but this game will be more than about that.
The Seahawks continue to grow in confidence, even with huge injuries to their running game.
Marshawn might be old and crusty, but he still can power run through some tough lines and is great in the redzone.
The Seahawks easily cruised through the Philly D, and there’s no reason to suspect that they won’t do the same here.
Russell Wilson should gash up yards running from the Packers D, who have trouble with QBs of his pedigree.
I originally thought that the Seahawks might be able to cover, but now I am confident that they can win.
SEAHAWKS WIN

Make sure you join us at the Long Acre pub in Covent Garden this weekend. FYI that if you are coming Saturday, you will need a ticket after 10pm as that’s when it becomes ticketed.
Why is that?
It’s central London on a Saturday-it gets nutty.

See you this weekend and good luck on your bets!

The Bills are out, and Ryan is sad.
But that doesn’t mean the season is over! There’s a whole lot of NFL left to play.

DraftKings has another wicked weekend ahead of games. Join our League that you can play for yourself.

To summarise some of our thoughts on the Wildcard Weekend in the NFL.

Bills vs Texans

Way to blow it Buffalo, your second half collapsed quicker than a homemade horse costume.
The Texans were good, but not great in disposing of a fast starting Bills team. Texans are in for a humbling vs the Chiefs this weekend.

Titans vs Patriots

Are the Patriots finally dead, or was it another off year? The Titans ran all over the Pats, and their vaunted D could barely stop the fast moving Henry. The Titans have to face the Ravens now, so enjoy your playoffs while they lasted.

Seahawks vs Eagles

The Eagles were finally showed the door to their place in the league this season. Wentz was hurt early, but it wouldn’t have mattered against the Seahawks team that is gaining confidence as it rises. Wade likes them a lot next Sunday.

See you Sunday.
