Week 13 Picks

December 1, 2019 by nflinlondon

Wade-W13-picks

It’s Week 13, and things are heating up post Thanksgiving turkey games!
Who do have in this week’s games?
There are a lot of crapola games, and some key matches that have Super Bowl implications.
Obviously the 49ers vs Ravens will be the big game of the week, and the Patriots vs Texans is the key AFC game.
But how can you make money this week off the NFL?
By taking my picks, that’s how silly!

Weather. One of the big things to watch this week are any games that are played on the East coast that are outside. There is a nasty ThanksG storm rolling across the shoreline, and with flights being cancelled-expect that this also applies to footballs that are thrown. Expect snow, heavy winds, and frigid turf. Running will be the way to go, but ball control will be even more important.
On Sunday’s like this, GO FOR THE UNDER!
Choose the Under on any games on the east coast this week with these ket home teams: NY Giants; Ravens; Steelers. The Bengals, Panthers & Dolphins could also see some gusts and cold conditions.

Here are some of the key games I think are good for parlays to punch your ticket to some NFL wins. I’m still hitting a wicked 66% of picks correct against the spread heading into these games, putting me ahead of most Vegas sports book makers and pundits. You can check all my scores each week with our picks and by listening to our podcasts.

Take these bets to BetRegal, and also look at our DraftKings League.

-2.5 Bucs (4-7) vs Jags (4-7)

The line on this game has changed a few times. I snagged it on a early ticket at -1 Jags, which was a steal. The Bucs are now 2.5 pt faves and rightly so. So long as Jameis can shuttle the ball without dropping it, TB should be able to bust the ball deep into the cats end. The Jags have seen their D drop in talent dramatically, and are a shell of their former selves. Nick Foles better do something at home, or he will soon be looking for another job. Bucs should easily be able to handle their Florida brother cousin lovers.
Bucs WIN

Titans (6-5) vs -1 Colts (6-5)

The line on this one was originally 2.5 for the Colts, but has changed due to injuries and the heat of the Titans. Yes, they have won a few straight and Tannehill is pumping it like a champ, but this is a divisional bugaboo. The Colts have owned the Titans at home, and this should continue Sunday. Brissett and the boyz need to get that ball moving fast and deep into the Titans secondary. The have the defense to limit Henry, & if they put the pressure on Tannehill the Titans will make mistakes.
Colts WIN

-2 Browns(5-6)  vs Steelers (6-5)

The helmet game is back again! Tensions will be simmering after massive mantras for calm in this divisional slugfest. The Browns are beaming after the win a few weeks ago, while Mason Rudolph will be a mere witness in this contest. It’s the Steelers at home, so they should be more focused and driven to deliver with Duck at the helm. The Steelers are gutted by injuries so they will have to see what they can bandage in this one. I like them to chase Baker and for them to make mistakes. The weather is going to be horrible, so home field is a good bet.
Steelers WIN

The weather is going to make betting tough this week, so it’s a good week for home teams and favourites.

Good luck this week!

Week 12 Review & Thanksgiving Preview

It’s time for our Week 12 Review podcast, where Wade and Ryan break down all of the games, look at their picks, & then preview the Thanksgiving games on Thursday.

What are you doing for your Thanksgiving NFL? Are you in London? Then join us at Belushi’s Camden for a great old night of NFL fun. We will be watching all of the games in our NFL area, and be having some drinks and turkey dinners as well. Pop by and say hi!

Thanksgiving this year is sponsored by BetRegal, your best place to bet on the NFL. We have a great offer for Thanksgiving, so make sure you can join now to take advantage. We will have a promo partner and some drinks on the night to help you meet our offers.

We are also promoting the new DraftKings Thanksgiving contest, where you can enter for free and win a chance at $50,000. Not bad to help settle the Turkey dinner. We have loads of contests in there, so join our League NFL in London.

Week 12

Wade & Ryan both had a solid week 12. Ryan went a smoking 10-4 for the week, with Wade just topping him at 11-3. They were both able to finagle some of the tougher matches, and pull out a winning score. Hopefully you made some money off of our picks.

Browns
They both knew that Cleveland would play angry, & boy they did. Jarvis Landry was walking on TD water, and the Myles-less D was humming. Of course, it was the Dolphins

Jets
J-E-T-S, bet you hate hearing that now Gruden. Darnold and the Dusties came out flinging, and Le’veon Bell finally got his legs working. Gruden looked like he wanted to crawl under the Gatorade by halftime. How will these teams play out their season?

Bears
Oh Mitch. Why, just why? He finally got some spark in his knickers in the second, but still throws like Mr. Magoo in an MMA fight. Mack was on the attack, but the Giants were able to score late to cover the spread and save both guys.

Make sure you listen to our podcast every week, we do 2 of them.
We are also streaming our Facebook live video every week as well, as we are too tired to edit it.

Thanksgiving Picks

November 27, 2019 by nflinlondon

Gobble, Gobble y’all. It’s time for Thanksgiving NFL!

The NFL and Thanksgiving go together like a stuffed bird with no feathers. The tradition dates back to 1920 when the NFL first came into existence. Of course the tradition of Thanksgiving football games is a American college tradition that dates back to the 1880s’, but like all great traditions it was adopted and marketed to the masses.

Detroit was the first team to be tagged with Thanksgiving hosting duties in 1934, and has continued on this symbolic gesture every year. Many AFC teams have complained about them not being able to host any of the games, but where were you in 1934? Huh, punk. Don’t mess with Detroit.

Dallas Cowboys joined the turkey-fold in 1966, 6 years after they were welcomed into the league. There are numerous myths as to why the Cowboys ‘had’ to host Thanksgiving, but it all boils down to ‘there was nothing to watch on TV that day.’ Good enough for Dallas, good enough for me.

I am a huge fan of the Thanksgiving games. As a Canadian, it always felt nice to have 2 turkey eating holidays-even if your Thanksgiving only had NFL football.
My dad use to always take off work every ‘Black Friday’, which was nice as well.
It was only years later I learned he did this because he was incredibly hungover.
Still got quality time with him and McDonald’s!
Boom.

This year is a bitter sweet game, as my Bears play my dad’s Detroit Lions. I wish more than anything that I could watch the game with him, but sadly dementia is a bitch.

I will be watching the games on Thursday ay Belushi’s in Camden, come join us for some fun.

-3 Bears vs Lions +39

Chicago Bears
The Bears won! The Bears won! Mitchell Trubisky continued to struggle, but somehow found his mojo in the 2nd half. He still has the QB vision of someone who was kicked in the head by a goat, but he was able to check the ball down field. It flabbergasts me how many open targets he misses every week. Almost as much as being able to use the word ‘flabbergast’ when talking about Mitch.
As much as he takes the bulk of the blame, a depleted o-line has also not given him much time to get the ball off, or Montgomery the pace to get open.
Montgomery was used more effectively last week, but they still need to get the momentum going and build on a pattern of 1st downs.
The defence continues to play well, despite being let down by Mitch.
They handled the Giants last Sunday easily, & this depleted Lions team will offer far less of a bite.
Driskel is in for an abysmal day.

Lions
Poor, poor Detroit. I am talking about the city, not the team. The Lions are Stafford-less, and it looks like he doesn’t seem to mind as he ‘backs’ his way out of the season. Jeff Driskel couldn’t get picked for a tema in a league full of asthmatic children, so starting for the Lions is a leap. He made some truly crap-tastic passes last week, & was fortunate the Redskin receivers could barely hold onto their balls.
Their running game will rely on Bo Scarborough running into the Bears defense, who will be relentless.
The Lions D will be tasked with not only covering the Bears speedy receivers, as well as trying to block a surging running game.
Luckily, Mitch Trubisky can’t throw that far.

Bills vs -6.5 Cowboys +45

Bills
Buffalo is 8-3, and Dallas is 6-5. If you told most fans that this is how it would go down by week 13 of this season, they wouldn’t believe you. Well, maybe Ryan would.
Josh Allen has been playing incredibly, and they have really squeezed the value out of their stingy defence. Of course, it helps when you have the EASIEST schedule in the NFL this year.
Will they be able to get their running game and wide receivers firing against ‘DemBoyz?
It will be tough, but with the amount of injuries on the Cowboys side, there is a chance the Bills win this, if not just keep it close.

Cowboys
The Cowboys is trippin’ after their loss last week to the Patriots. It was a rather low scoring affair, that had the refs surprisingly side with the Patriots on many calls. What? They can choose sides? They sure can! Amari Cooper looks hobbled and Zeke is struggling to get back into form. They are at home, but with that 4 day loss-hangover following them back.
Dak will be able to put up points, especially with his feet, but look for the Bills to keep this one closer than people think.

-7 Saints vs Falcons +49

Saints
A few weeks ago these two met, and the result was unpredicted. The Falcons smoke-showed the Saints who looked lost as they took a pummelling. Will it be the same this week? No way, Jose. The Saints had a few more injuries then, including Alvin Kamara. These guys are back and healthy. Brees is now on form, and in another dome. A dome where the Falcons lose a lot. They should get use to that.

Falcons
Despite playing putting together a string of wins, the Falcons aren’t fooling anyone. They identify as sucks, suckies, and suckers. They got slapped around by the Bucs last week, as their tough defence was penetrated numerous times without consent by Jameis. The fact that Hooper and Austin will be out this week means Matt Ryan will have hardly anyone to throw to, and even less time. If Marshawn Lattimore returns to the Saints D, we could see even more ugliness. This is the latest of the games, so hopefully the Falcons fans will be wasted.

Where are you watching the games? If you’re in London-join us at our fantastic BetRegal Thanksgiving party at Belushi’s Camden. Sign up ahead of time, or on the day and get a welcome beer! We have plenty of space for all of your NFL viewing needs.

We are also running a DraftKings Thanksgiving contest as well. It is free to join and fun as all get out.

Don’t forget, Friday is ‘Black Friday’, so make sure you don’t drunk shop when you are watching the games!

Good luck, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Wade’s Week 12

November 26, 2019 by nflinlondon

How did you do in our Week 12 NFL picks across the spread?
Did you take any of my advice to make some money off of your bets?
Great if you did! Too bad if you didn’t, because you could have bought Christmas gifts for the kids.

The NFL bye weeks are officially done, which means it’s full games from here on in. Which means 16 games which to handicap, which gets tougher as teams play for their lives.

I went 11-3 for Week 12 in the NFL, although I am extremely pissed off at the games I lost on. They should have gone the other way, but I will explain this in greater detail.

Here are the games I picked correctly for Week 12

  • Browns +10.5-They were hungry after helmet-gate
  • Giants +6.5-Don’t trust Mitch with a big spread
  • Jets +3-My pick of the week
  • Panthers +9.5-Too big a spread for a Saints team in the mix
  • Bucs +4-Ugly football is still a win
  • Redskins +3.5-Detroit sucks
  • Titans +3-The Jags can jag-off the rest of the season
  • Cowboys +6.5-This had low score written all over it
  • 49ers -3-No way were the Packers going to do anything but cry
  • Ravens +3-Lamar ran all over them so badly he left marks

So those were the winner-winner, chicken dinners.
I tried to use as much maths and predictions as I could here, but still not close to a perfect week.
I haven’t had one of those in 2 years, always looking.

Here are the games that screwed me over.

Broncos vs Bills

The Broncos D was coming off that HUGE loss to the Vikings the week before, and the Bills have been coasting along. They also have an upcoming Thanksgiving game, so you would think that this should have lead to a Broncos victory of cover? No, because their QB is garbage, and they have no one left on the team. The Bills were able to move the ball around effectively and Josh Allen continues to impress. The Bills now have a solid position going into the playoffs.
The Broncos can suck it.

Steelers vs Bengals

Everyone should smoke the Bengals right? Not the hapless Steelers, who needed last half heroics to salvage this game. I thought that they would rely on their D, and move the ball on the ground. Mason Rudolph wasn’t having that, tossing the ball around like an idiot. To many penalties, to much stupidity. Rudolph was eventually benches, which led to a score, but Pittsburgh is now in my crap books the rest of the season. I might actually by a Steelers NFL jersey, just to burn it.

Seahawks vs Eagles

The Eagles have been able to put some good games together with a tight D, and I figured that the Eagles at home, with a playoff spot slipping away-that they might do something tough and fun. Nope. Russell Wilson made them look like chumps, and the receiving and running corp blasted the Eagles into oblivion. To make matters worse, the Seahawks D which I thought was struggling, actually looked good against Wentz. Is he a franchise QB? I don’t know about that.

We will have more picks up throughout the week.

Listen to the latest podcast, and be sure to check out the vodcast-which is streamed live on our Facebook page.

Here are some of the games that Wade and Ryan agree on. Some of them are upsets, which makes their harmony even sweeter.

Broncos vs -4 Bills

4 points is a big ask for a Bills team at home. Sure, Josh Allen had a great week last week, but this Denver D is firing and fiery. Losing to the Vikings last week also has to motivate the Broncos, as their offence literally threw it away. The Bills have to play in 4 days against the Cowboys, so they might not be fully focused on this one. Wade & Ryan both have the Broncos to cover, although Wade thinks that they will win.

Giants vs -6.5 Bears

6.5 points for the Bears? That’s almost a touchdown! Mitch Trubisky hasn’t barely thrown a touchdown. More people throw out their backs yelling at Trubisky than he actually accomplishes. The Giants are looking for the return of some talented receivers, which should make this game even more interesting. If Danny Dimes can flush out Shephard, Tate or Engram, the Bears could struggle to contain them. The Bears O-line also needs to step up. While MT is to blame for his myopic QB vision, the O barely gives him any time to throw. They need to pocket focus so he can get his steps if they are ever going to commit long term to him. Both guys have the Giants to cover, although Ryan goes with a win.

Miami vs -10.5 Cleveland

10.5 is some screw you points. That’s expecting the Browns to level an epic beatdown on the porpoises this Sunday. The whole Myles Garrett thing shook the team, but it wasn’t the team. It was one guy. One guy on a team that is struggling to find their rhythm. Will they rebound with aggression or continue to implode. This is the game that marks their maturity. Boy guys think they will rebound and put on a Miami beatdown that hasn’t been seen since the neon 80s’. Odell should be ringing bells and the Browns D should be stealing some Fitz-Magic. Dolphins win big.
