Robot NFL 2073

April 20, 2023 by nflinlondon

What could happen when you ask Chat GPTeasy for what a Robot NFL 2073 might look like and you get this.

Would you watch an NFL made up of robot players? Or will there be a league that challenges the dominance of the league with a rocket sock’em battle-bots of rocketry?

AI will know, let’s see how she does in what happens when you ask it what Robot NFL 2073 might look like for us all.

The National Football League, or NFL, is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world. It has evolved significantly since its inception in 1920, and the game of football has undergone many changes in terms of rules, equipment, and player safety. However, the future of the NFL could look very different from what we see today, with the possibility of robot players becoming a reality in the next 50 years.

Robot players could revolutionise the game of football, providing a safer, faster, and more entertaining experience for both players and fans. In this article, we’ll explore what the future of the NFL could look like with robot players, including possible team names, rule changes, and how the game might develop.

Possible Team Names

With robot players, NFL teams would have the opportunity to create new and unique team names that reflect the futuristic nature of the game. Here are some possible team names that could emerge:

  1. Cyberhawks
  2. Steel Titans
  3. Digital Warriors
  4. Machine Mavericks
  5. Tech Trojans

Rule Changes

Robot players would require a significant overhaul of the current NFL rulebook. Here are some possible rule changes that could be implemented to accommodate robot players:

  1. No more human players: Robot players would replace human players entirely, eliminating the risk of injury to human players.
  2. No more penalties for rough play: With no human players, there would be no need for penalties for rough play.
  3. Increased scoring opportunities: Robot players would be able to throw the ball with greater accuracy and power, resulting in more scoring opportunities for each team.
  4. Longer games: With robot players, games could be extended to allow for more action on the field.
  5. Fewer timeouts: With robot players, fewer timeouts would be needed, as the robots would not require rest or hydration breaks.

Game Development

With the implementation of robot players, the game of football could evolve significantly. Here are some possible developments that could occur:

  1. Greater emphasis on strategy: With robot players, coaches would need to develop new strategies to maximise the abilities of their robotic players.
  2. Faster and more exciting gameplay: Robot players would be able to run, pass, and tackle at lightning-fast speeds, resulting in a faster and more exciting game for fans.
  3. Increased fan engagement: The introduction of robot players would likely attract new fans to the game, resulting in increased fan engagement and revenue for the NFL.
  4. Improved player safety: Robot players would eliminate the risk of injury to human players, making the game safer overall.

Conclusion

The future of the NFL with robot players is a fascinating concept that could revolutionize the game of football as we know it. With the elimination of human players, the game could become safer and more exciting, with faster gameplay and increased scoring opportunities. While the implementation of robot players would require significant rule changes and adaptations, the potential benefits for the NFL are vast.

As we look to the future of the NFL, it’s exciting to imagine what the game could look like in 50 years with robot players. With new team names, rule changes, and game developments, the future of the NFL could be an entirely new and exciting experience for fans around the world.

So how does that cook your prediction of how the league will look?
AI comes up with some truly horrible names, as they have no idea how cruel and torturous humans can be when it comes to shaming when we feel indignant.
Or do they.

Sloppy Seconds

March 26, 2023 by nflinlondon

Most of the top tier talented has been shuffled off to other teams, as we look who is left to go where in our Sloppy Seconds podcast.

If you get offended with the title, take it up with Ryan.

In this episode, the boys look at some of the ‘other’ NFL moves across the league, as we all await the news of where Rodgers, Lamar and TB12 could end up. Wait, him again?

NFLinLondon · Sloppy Seconds-Ep 240

Among some of the other things that the guys discuss in this edition.

Own Up

The owners are having their annual billionaires meeting, and with Epstein island a little too ‘hot’ these days for attention, the lads have opted for a Butlin’s in Wales this year.

Among some of the major things that the owners will be discussing this year are new rules, how to make more money, how not to lose money, and what to do with Dan Snyder.
Dan the man has indicated that he will be selling the team soon, just not to Bezos, Beyonce, or Bono.
He’s got a real ‘B’ obsession that man.

One rule that looks like it will survive is the ‘push rule’, which allows players to leverage a rugby-style effort to move the ball ahead.
Given how strikingly similar it is to the process of trying to get Raiders owner Mark Davis into an elevator after a late night, no one seems to have a problem with it.

Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins is a hot commodity this off season for the right team that can afford him.
Often injured, sometimes fined, and coming in at a price tag of $30-34 million, teams are going to have dig deep into their pockets to be able to afford the ageing receiver.

Is he the guy that is going to get you to the SuperBowl, or is his salary just so dang high that he could cripple the rest of the team in mediocrity?

Buffalo Bills are top faves to pip Hopkins this season, giving Josh Allen another option to try to force balls to in 3rd and long situations.

Who’s got the cash to splash on this big player?

Panther Sale

After liquidating their franchise of players over the past 18 months, the Panthers are starting to build up some options for whatever rookie QB they decide to pursue in the draft.

Former Vikings WR Adam ‘Stealin’ Thielen was a handy slot option for Minnesota, so it will be interesting to see how they use the ageing receiver.
Also added to the mix is former Jag/ Lion DJ Chark, who will add some lowly fantasy points to whomever snags him in a 14 player fantasy league.

Carolina played last season like they had ‘nothing to lose’, let’s see how that transcends to 2023.

Oh Rodgers

For a guy who said he was going to make this quick, Aaron Rodgers sure seems to be in limbo.

Word is that the Jets and Packers are just down to the numbers now, as Green Bay will be looking to fleece New York for whatever they can, while the Jets also have to contend with a massive chunk of cash to pay him.

Maybe he can get his buddy Jake Paul to buy an NFL team call it the Ayahuasca’s and they can trip across the states together beating teams way weaker than them?

Everyone in the league is just waiting for this to get down and dusted so we can see how bad the Jets will actually be after making so many sacrifices.
Still got to make it out of that tough division.

London Games

We are getting closer to the announcement of who will be playing in London in 2023 to face the Bills, Titans, and Jaguars.
We have our own thoughts, and will be sharing it with you guys over the next few weeks.

Spring Steps

March 21, 2023 by nflinlondon

Well it certainly feels like the NFL is going to be very interesting with the amount of action we have seen the past few weeks in the league, as we take a look at some of the Spring Steps.

Some of the biggest names are on the move, while some even top tier names still have nothing going on with them. What’s the deal with that?

We’ll take a look at some of the moving and shaking going on in the league thus far, as we check in on some of the teams and see what the heck they are doing?

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons NEED a QB for 2023, it all depends where they are going to get him from.

With most of the major talent gone, it seems that the best hope for a new passer this season is in the Draft. C’mon, can you really build a squad around Desmon Ridder after the Mariota season last year?

Who and how they end up with should have big impact on some of the players that they have already started to build around.

ATL traded for TE Jonnu Smith from the Patriots, as well as snagging Taylor Heinicke from the Commanders, but it was their splash for cash on former Bengals safety Jessie Bates III that brought the most head scratches.
Sure, the Falcons D sucks, but do you really need to make Bates the 4th highest paid safety in the league?

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have made no secret that this is going to be a ‘rebuilding year’ after having liquidated their assets over the past few seasons.

Trading off McCaffery last year, then the trade up with the Bears shows that Carolina is looking for a fresh restart to build the team around a new, young stud.

Carolina has made some pretty major acquisitions in this offseason, taking Miles Sanders from the Eagles, picking up Adam Thielen from the Vikings, Hayden Hurst and the solid ginger-ninja in Andy Dalton to back up whatever pretty boy they bring in.

The Panthers defence wasn’t horrible last year, so the additions of players like DeShawn Williams, Shy Tuttle, Justin McCray and Vonn Bell should help them from leaking points in 2023.

Chicago Bears

The Bears shuffled off their number one pick to the Panthers, allowing them to put the focus mainly on giving Justin Fields the tools that he needs to develop into a fully grown Bear.

Chicago blew some of its wad on former Bill Tremaine Edmunds, which is quite odd considering they could have just tossed that cash at All Pro Roquan Smith.

They did make a great move to snag the handsy DJ Moore from the Panthers, RB Travis Homer from the Seahawks, former Packer Robert Tonyan, RB D’onta Foreman and back up QB PJ Walker.
It’s like the Bears kind of cleaned out the closets of Carolina to find the simple things that ‘bring them joy.’

With the NFC North in flux, it could be more than a rebuild year for the Bears.

Denver Broncos

Splashing cash to protect the ass of Russell Wilson has been the driving force for the Broncos, who bolstered their D this week with some pretty key additions.

Former 49er Mike McGlinchey helps Denver out at tackle, although at a hefty 5 years for $87.5 million.
Adding to him is guard Ben Powers ($52 million), as well as another $45.8m for former Cardinal DE Zach Allen.

Offensively the Broncos also grabbed former Bengal Samaje Perine to help their running game, as well as slinger Jason Stidham to help in the back up role when Wilson inevitably ends up injured midseason.

It’s high hopes for the Broncos in 2023, in a division that will offer very little hope.

Lamar

How ya feeling Lamar? Feeling the love yet? Didn’t think so.

This drama is going to go down to the wire, and will probably end up with Jackson signing with the Patriots anyhow, just to make the AFC East a cluster-bang of teams for 2023.

Aaron

Can we just buy the guy a groundhog? Then it can tell us what it’s thinking, and whether or not we need to bother listening to it, or we can just go back to bed?

March Breaking

March 13, 2023 by nflinlondon

Things are heating up in the NFL as free agents begin to trickle down, trades are made, and deals are done as we take a look at it all in March Breaking.

It feels like it’s all about to kick off, as teams start to make the moves that will determine their 2023 fate, and the seismic shifts in who ends up where start to become transparent.

Let’s take a look at some of the big news that has been happening.

Bear Down

It didn’t take long for the Bears to goose away their golden pick this year, as the QB hungry Panthers traded up with Chicago to secure the first round pick.
Spoiler alert-it won’t be a kicker that they choose.

Rumour had it that the Bears were looking for a butt-load in return for their pick, and boy did they get it.

The Bears will receive the numbers 9 and 61 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, a first round pick in 2024, and a second round pick in 2025.
Not only that, the Panthers tossed in stellar wide receiver DJ Moore, further liquidating Carolina’s potential to do anything offensive next year.

It’s a great deal for Chicago, who not only have a stud receiver for Fields to toss to, they also have the most cap space to be able to build around him.

Carr Saints

Derek Carr is off to New Orleans, when the Saints made an offer that he couldn’t refuse.

Carr joins a division that is suckity-suck at best, and has the potential to take the raw and rough Saints and dirty them up a bit.

On paper Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Olave sound like perfect targets for Carr, but of course it’s all going to come down to coaching.

Rodgers That

This could be the week folks, that we learn what Aaron Rodgers is going to do with his life.

Of course Rodgers would save his drama for Oscars week, as he tries to get his name in the press ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once.’

The biggest unkept secret is that Aaron Rodgers will be moving on to the New York Jets, to make one of the toughest divisions in football even trippier.

With the Packers seemingly saying ‘bye-bye’ to Rodgers, his only other option would be retirement, and that seems like a harsh buzz at this point in his career.

Worst Game of Tag

It’s tag time, as team’s start to throw down franchise tags on sulky players who might want to leave.

Lamar got tagged again for a third time, bulking up a bunch of cash the Ravens will have to pay one day.
How long can they continue to drag the man along before you’re willing to commit?

Saquon signed back again with the Giants, but one would hope that they would try to fins a long term deal rather than the tag game.

Pollard and Josh Jacobs were wise tags from teams that will need to rely on their running games for the year ahead, given the gaps at QB.

The best tag of all was the Jaguars taking Evan Engram, who was a force of light and yardage last year, given Trevor Lawrence plenty of options and hope for the year ahead.

Jalen Gone

The Dolphins made another big offseason move, signing Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey for a 3rd round pick and TE Hunter Long.
The Rams are pretty much just dumping his salary as they skulk back into the shadows of ‘non-contenders’.

It’s a great opportunity for Ramsey, who will join a Dolphins squad that is only really missing a healthy quarterback.

Speaking of which…Tom Brady lives in Florida.

Make sure you check out our feeds this week as we look at all of the crazy free agent moves happening in the league.

Scoff Season Podcast

March 4, 2023 by nflinlondon

Bleh, the off-season blues have hit us all as Wade & Ryan try to make news from clues in this Scoff Season Podcast.

As the intoxication from the 2022 season wears off, we’re left with a hangover supplemented by some XFL, Six nations, and what the USFL might do.

Real NFL fans know that this time of year is when the drama happens. Some sort of juicy retirement, trade, or signing will get ours hearts racing again, hoping for a new season of what’s to be.

The boys yakkity-yak about this stuff in the podcast, so make sure that you wet your ears with the juice right here.

Other stuff the guys chat about in the podcast includes:

AX-FL

The Rock may have not cooked his league enough, as the XFL is raw-dogging the ratings and having fans more opt to choose pickle ball repeats than primetime football.

Maybe the league hasn’t titty-twisted fans interest yet, or maybe the focus is on the wrong side of lens.

Orlando Guardians could be a Real Housewives locker-room drama, as the shizzle has hit bizzle for another time this week.
Previously coach Terrell Buckley went viral for tossing his team under the bus for not wanting to play and give it all. It was a pretty damning way to start the season.
Then QB Quenten Dormandy, (who replaced Paxton Lynch), was dropped by the team after it was found out he send the playbook to an opposing team.

You can’t make this kind of drama up! The real show should be on the behind the scenes of the shiesse show that is being a ‘not NFL’ player.
Something has to spice up the league.

Who they, Where they?

There are so many expensive pieces in the NFL to move as egos and salaries bloat the franchises. It’s going to be only so many good bodies a lockeroom will hold when one guy costs a quarter of the team’s season salary.

Just like Epstein island, you can only bury the young kids for so long before you got to pay them. Burrow, Mahomes, Watson, Jones, Lamar and more are going to want their 50 mill a year, and that factory can only make so many touchdowns on its own.

This off season should see a slew of jocks shuffle off to new teams and totally make their budgets, rosters and momentum take a massive steer.

Going ‘all in’ Rams and Cardinals style looks as appetising as buying a Hummer, as franchises are looking to lean and mean for years, not wither on the vine.

Bear What

So what are the Bears going to do with their number one pick?

Are the going to boot Justin Fields in the butt, and find a new beginning with their new coaching team? Will they look at the massive running numbers he put up despite a horrible O line and everything else around him? Will they trade the pick and try to milk it for everything they can get?

Teams are QB slutting right now, as they know that there are a few gems in the 2023 draft that might be able to change their destiny.

Word on the street a the mo is that the Bears are looking for 3 number ones over the next 3 years. Are they trying to cash in a lottery ticket that’s too big?

What if the one that gets away this year is the next Mahomes, or that Fields turns out to be a bust?

Some many bear-abilities.
