2021 NFL Jets tickets

Week 2 Preview

September 19, 2021 by nflinlondon

Week 2 is here as we all move on from the uneven shakes of the opening week.

Wade and Ryan had respectable betting weeks despite some crazy games, and this week they off you some of their big game advice to help you make your betting or fantasy picks in this Week 2 Preview podcast.

NFLinLondon · Week 2 Preview-Ep 155

The guys offer up their break down on every game, as well as offer some betting tips, game insight and some DFS options.
Make sure you listen to the whole thing to absorb all the nuggets of gold.

Among some of the big games the guys discuss in this episode includes:

Saints (1-0) -3.5 vs Panthers (1-0)  +44.5

New Orleans is still shaking after an epic beat down of the Packers last week, so you wonder if they’re going to be fully honed after an epic upset.
Carolina shook of the ghosts of Week 1’s past to rally past the hapless Jets in a much needed W for the return of C Mc.

Ryan likes the Saints to continue their winning ways here, as he likes Jameis and the boys to get it done on the Panthers.

Wade however thinks that Carolina isn’t done upsetting people, and this home game will propel them to 2-0 with a cheeky upset against the Saints.

Prediction:

Ryan- Saints 27-20
Wade- Panthers 31 Saints 26

Bills (0-1) -3.5 vs Dolphins (1-0)  +42.5

Buffalo got stunned last week like the whole city ate a suicide wing at once. Pittsburgh shut down the blue machine from upstate New York, and made their case for leading the AFC.

Miami got the job done against BB and the Patriots, doing what other teams in the AFC East call ‘God’s work’.

Ryan likes his Bills to regain some ‘justice’ here, with a solid win over the Miami Dolphins, and a chance to get back in the division race.

Wade however likes the Dolphins to continue their September winning ways at home. Hurricane season blows in hard, taking out autumn visitors with abandon. He likes the fish at home to challenge the Bills and their lack of running game.
He thinks the Bills will win, just not cover.

Prediction:

Ryan-Bills 31 Dolphins 24
Wade-Bills 24 Dolphins 23

49ers (1-0) -3 vs Eagles (1-0)  +50

Points a plenty in this game, as both teams are coming off victories at the hands of inferior opponents.

San Fran is once again leaking running backs, in a troubling sign early on in the season. Jimmy G is still holding court, but the Lance of Trey is only a heartbeat away from piercing his long term plans.

Jalen is the man in Philly, and is finally showing that this is his team. With the addition of speedy youngsters, and new D, the Eagles look to fly this year, if they can stay healthy.

Wade is big on the Eagles this week, and Ryan has joined the flock in believing that they can flip the cart on San Fran this week.

Loads of fantasy points in this game, so make your picks carefully!

Prediction:

Ryan-Eagles 27 49ers-25
Wade-Eagles 31 49ers-27

Raiders (1-0) vs Steelers (1-0) -6  +47

The Raiders and Steelers both were able to take their underdog titles to victory in Week 1, in a surprise to many pundits of the NFL.

Las Vegas used their home advantage to shock the Ravens core, giving Carr plenty of chances to spread the love. Key injuries might have gone too far in helping this week however.

Pittsburgh beat the darling Bills last week, and showed the world how tough and ready their D is this season. Can they go 11-0 to start the season again this year?

Ryan is backing the Raiders once again, thinking that the Steeler team that dispatched his Bills so easily will finally face their match. He doesn’t think that the Raiders will win, but just cover.

Wade thinks that the Steelers will roll on, taking advantage of the injury to RB Josh Jacobs, and punishing Carr with their relentless D.

Prediction:

Ryan-Steelers 24 Raiders 21
Wade-Steelers 30 Raiders 23

Week 1 Review

September 16, 2021 by nflinlondon

The NFL is officially back, and we can confirm that some beatings were handed out in style on Sunday, as we tip this podcast with our Week 1 Review.

Wade and Ryan both went 10-7 on Week 1, which isn’t bad considering how many upsets were flipped.
Both guys had some solid tips that turned into rocking picks, but also missed some glaring big opportunities on the board. (Hello Texans!)

In this podcast, Wade and Ryan look back at week 1 in the NFL, and how they fared with their betting brains.

Make sure that you join us this Sunday at the Sports Bar and Grill Old Street, where we will be showing all the games, as well as running a few DraftKings contests for your chance to win big!
Remember, we are giving away a set of tickets to the Dolphins vs Jaguars at Tottenham in our Week 3 contest, so join away there!

Here are some of the games we look at in this episode.

Eagles vs Falcons

Wade was all over Philly and Hurts, pegging this one as a big upset over the host Falcons.
Ryan figured Matt Ryan would find a way to win this one, although he never did.
The Eagles beat the heck out of Atlanta on Sunday with a solid combination of a dual running game, great new receivers, and an inspired Jalen Hurts.
Philly truly could be special this year.

Steelers vs Bills

To say Ryan was gutted in this result is an understatement.
The Steel curtain of D was all over Buffalo and thwarting Josh Allen’s ability to get going.
Despite being a 5.5 point underdog, Pittsburgh was able to frustrate a home crowd and their chances at going all the way in the AFC.
It did make this conference a whole lot more interesting though.

Cardinals vs Titans

Wade called this game the best DFS opportunity of the week, and boy was he right.
Kyler and co. pounded the hapless Titans D relentlessly, making Tannehill look like a chump in his own house.
Not only was Murray able to spread the ball, but the Arizona D was able to spread Tannehill out with repeated sacks.
Ryan thought his Titans would reign supreme, but now the world is looking at them to get it together if they have any chance in the AFC.

Seahawks vs Colts

Wade was sure that the hometown Colts would be able to buck away the limp Seattle D and establish their running game.
Ryan was chanting ‘Russ! Russ! Russ!’ ahead of this match, confident that RW would be able to rally the troops together.
Ryan got this one right, as the Seahawks actually looked good in this one.

Packers vs Saints

Hahahahahahahaha.

Bears vs Rams

Wade thought his Bears might put up some sort of fight against the LA D, but it wasn’t to be.
Matt Stafford had a career high night, and Justin Fields stayed healthy…so there’s that.
Chicago is going to need to find some resolve to win some of these tough games ahead in a weak ass division.

Ravens vs Raiders

Ryan was sure that the Las Vegas Raiders would roll big dice in their home opener against the Ravens, and boy was he right.
This exciting game was an up and down affair, with the Raiders coming out with an inspired win.

How many of our picks did you take?
What was you pick of the week?

Week 2 London

September 15, 2021 by nflinlondon

Week 1 is done and dusted, and what a crazy week that was.

From an insane Bucs demolition of the Cowboys, to the Packers cheesing it up, and the Falcons getting battered…again…it’s nice to have the NFL back.

With another set of games on the way, we wanted to let you know some places in the city to watch Week 2 London.

Old Street

The Sports Bar and Grill Old Street is one of the most amazing sports bars in the city.

With over 40+ TVs, booths with their own TVs, pool tables, and NFL in every corner, you can’t go wrong with the Sports Bar Old Street.

Located directly across from the tube station, this newly renovated pub smells and looks great. (something you don’t get from most sports bars!)

Better still, the SB&G Old Street is open until 12:30am Sunday night, allowing you to watch the second set of games, finish your drinks, and not feel to be rushed out the door.

Our team will be there for Week 2, running a few DraftKings contests if you feel like playing along.
Make sure you’re there for week 3, as we are giving away 2 tickets to Dolphins vs Jaguars to our contest winner.

Best of all, Old Street is one of the biggest rail hubs in the city.
It’s well served by the tube, national rail and stops north and south of the city until midnight.

The pub offers Sky Sports, Redzone and Gamepass.

Want to book a table?
Just click here and you’re ready to roll.

Clapham

If you’re in south London, why not pop into the Sports Bar & Grill Clapham?

Located right off the high street, this lovely sports bar is full of 30+ TVs, great food, and close to one of the most hopping high streets in London.

The Sports Bar & Grill Clapham is proud to promote the NFL every Sunday, and their hospitable staff will do what they can to make sure that you can watch the game you want, paired with great food and drink.

The SB&G Clapham is open until 11pm, which means that you can watch the first set of games and part of the next set, but sadly they will not show the 9pm games in their entirety.

South London is your next NFL destination, make sure that you get in touch so that you can book  table for Sunday.

https://www.sportsbarandgrill.co.uk/clapham/party-booking

The pub offers Sky Sports, Redzone and Gamepass.

Crouch End

Although there is no tube station in Crouch End, it’s very close to many transport links to central London and beyond.

The Princess Alexandra Pub is a lovely little boozer that has plenty of TVs and great burgers, wings and beer.

Close to Finsbury Park station, as well as Hornsey rail station and the W7 bus, visitors to the Alex can be at Kings Cross station in less than 20 minutes.

The pub is also VERY close to Tottenham Hotspur stadium, which means it’s a great place to party before the games and after.
It’s a 15 minute bus ride on the W3 direct to the stadium, so you can be in the pub in no time after the game.

Let us know if you want us to book you a table at the Princess Alex for a Sunday!

It’s a very celeb neighbourhood, so you never know who might be watching the games with you!

That’s it this week for NFL pubs we can recommend.

Sadly, too many places don’t actually care about NFL fans, and won’t even start the games until AFTER the 4:30pm Premier League game is over.

Other venues might show it one week, then forget the next…or a new manager might just decide to cancel showing it.
One thing you won’t find in the UK, is NFL consistency!

The pubs we listed above, are the best places in London to catch the games.

See you Sunday!

2022 Super Bowl Picks

September 10, 2021 by nflinlondon

With the start of the NFL season, comes flurry of football speculation.
How will the extra games affect the season? Will injuries continue to dominate the league? Which team has the gumption to win it all?

Wade McElwain & Ryan Cull break it down with their Super Bowl picks for the 2022 game.

Yes, it is WAY to early to make such a bold prediction this early in the season, but that’s the fun in the NFL.
Take a punt based on some scraps of knowledge, stats, and mix it in with intuition and a dash of American network garble, and you have some half baked picks.

With LA being the host city for the February game, there is always a desire for one of the two Los Angeles teams to make it in front of the home crowd.
Sure, most of the crowd is made up of bloated execs and ass kissers, but there’s always those 10000 die hard fans allowed in to rally up the Chargers/ Rams.

Ryan’s Pick

Ryan is very cagey in his predictions thus far due to the potential implications of future ridicule from fantasy football chums.

One thing is clear though, is that this kid from Brantford, Ontario is sauced and baked in Buffalo Bills pride, and he believes this is the year that they make it to the Super Bowl.

Josh Allen is a ‘beast’, they have a ‘solid’ wide receiver group, and his praise is muted enough not to curse the potential gauntlet of AFC adversaries they need to overcome to get there.

Ryan has the Buffalo Bills win win the AFC Championship and move on to the Super Bowl.

Meeting them in the big show will be…the Los Angeles Rams.

That’s right, Ryan has drank the Matt Staffy Juice and thinks that the Rams with their bright new rocket, speedy sets of WR hands, and monster D will be the champs of the division atop the other imitators.

Prediction

Buffalo Bills vs LA Rams

Wade’s Pick

The AFC will be a blood bath, and with a relatively healthy group of teams ready to roar, it’s easy to pick a few contenders that have the stones to make it through a long season.

The Bills, Browns, Ravens, Steelers, Titans and Raiders all have the potential to rip it to the finish, but they don’t have the sustainability to endure themselves.

Kansas City has the team, the vision, the drive and the positioning to repeat as Super Bowl visitors, and that’s the pick for the AFC.

The LA Chargers will be plucky and fun to watch, and should be a great team to potentially make it all the way. Sadly, Justin and the team need another year in the grow room before they’re ready to bud.

As far as the NFC goes…it’s the Rams!

Yes, it’s a Los Angeles double set with the same lame pick as Ryan.

The Bucs are good, and they’ll be hot, but everyone will be gunning for them. That gets tedious after a while, just ask Captain America.

Green Bay’s Dream Machine will break down on the side of the road when they realise you can’t power a team on personal ambition and nostalgia.

The Bears will do great. People will be surprised. Justin Fields is a new messiah.

Prediction

Kansas City Chiefs vs LA Rams

That’s it for our 2022 Super Bowl Picks, hope you can use them.

Sadly, there is no betting sites that are good in the UK to allow us to make those picks, but we thought we would throw those out there.

Who do you have winning it all? Let us know.

Season Predictions

September 9, 2021 by nflinlondon

The 2021 NFL season is about to begin!
Can you feel those excitement butterflies swimming around in your stomach?

To honour the start of the 2021 NFL season, Wade and Ryan once again are back with their picks on how this one plays out.
The guys break it all down in one Seasons Predictions podcast.

After a whoop-ass season delivered by the Tampa Bay Bucs, the Chiefs and the AFC will be looking for vengeance this year.
With so many great teams, who are the teams that actually have a shot at winning it all?

Luckily Wade and Ryan are armed with their predictions for all the teams and their records this year.
The guys also made their pretty early Super Bowl picks, a punt in the dark as to who they think will be the two teams making it to the big show.

AFC

Being a Bills fan, Ryan is prone to favouring the AFC at every moment.  Fortunately he has some pause in this podcast to appreciate that the Bills might struggle to dominate the whole division this year.

Wade on the other hand sees the AFC as Chiefs Kingdom, and think it’s going to be pretty tough for anyone to take the divisional throne from the heir apparent.

In the AFC East Ryan likes his Bills to smack around the Patriots, Dolphins and Jets. He has them capturing the division with a 13-4 record, and moving their way to a Super Bowl appearance.
Wade also has the Bills taking the division, but has the plucky play of the Fins taking them just ahead of the Pats for second place and a potential wild card spot.

It’s Browns for both guys in the AFC North, as they both like Cleveland to punch their tickets to the playoffs ahead of their rivals.
Ryan likes the Ravens to post a 10-7 record, behind the leading Browns at 11-6, and ahed of both the losing Steelers (8-9) and woeful Bengals (5-12).
Wade has the Steelers pipping a 10-7 record, behind the Browns and ahead of the Ravens and Bengals. He’s not big on this division, and has them beating the crap out of each other first.

The AFC South will not rise again, as a tepid division looks to crown its champion.
The Titans are tops for Wade and Ryan, who both have them taking the division ahead of their rivals.
Both guys have the Colts at 8-9, followed by the losing season of both the Jaguars and Texans.
Houston will most definitely have a problem this season, and like a NASA craft, will have to figure this out on their own.

The AFC West is best when looking at which teams have the ability to go all the way.
KC is favoured by both guys to crush it this year, as Wade & Ryan like them to go 14-3.
Both guys are hot on the LA Chargers and Justin Herbert, pegging them at 10-7, and a chance for a playoff spot as well.
Las Vegas has promise now that they can finally fill that shiny new stadium, and the guys expect some surprising things from them.
As far as the Broncos, it’s another lonely season out to pasture.

NFC

What bright spots does the NFC hold?
Will the Packers suit up for the Last Dance, or leave the dance floor early?

The NFC East has been a total joke for the past few years.
Too ugly to turn away from watching, the division has failed to be competitive outside of their own teams, often getting blown out by real teams.
This year should be different, with the Cowboys looking to post a healthy season under Dak.
Wade likes them to win this division, whereas Ryan has sipped some Fitzmagic, seeing the WFT taking top honours.
Ryan thinks that the Giants have a chance over the Eagles, who will finish bottom of the heap.
Wade is more bullish on Philly, and thinks that they will cause divisional problems for everyone this year.

Aaron Rodgers is pretty confident that he and the Packers will cruise to a Superbowl just like Jordan did. Let’s see if his arrogance and attitude make him look like a visionary, or a cheesehead.
Wade and Ryan both think that Green Bay will win the NFC North, but that they won’t be able to make it all the way.
Wade likes his Bears to run to 9-8, atop the Vikings and Lions, who will both struggle.
Ryan thinks the Vikes will take second, followed by the Bears and Lions.

Hitting the road to the champions in the NFC South, the Bucs are heavily favoured to repeat.
Ryan & Wade both like Tommy Boy to repeat his stint as champions, although they differ as to how the other teams will end up.
Ryan thinks Jameis can lead the Saints t0 10-7, with the Falcons able to jump atop the Panthers for third.
Wade thinks Carolina will surprise some folks this year, and has them going 11-6, to take second place in the division.
Ryan thinks that Matty Ice and the Falcons will be back and ready to attack.

Lastly, but definitely not least, is the tough as nails NFC West division.
Matt Stafford has made the Rams the big head of the group, and both guys think that they will go 11-6 to lift the title.
Ryan likes Seattle to chase the heels of the Rams, followed by a struggling 49ers squad, and lastly the Cards.
Wade has San Fran punching a wild card ticket, with the Seahawks ending up as the low face on the totem pole in this one.

Super Bowl

So who is going all the way to the big show?
Depends on who you ask.

Ryan Cull believes that his Buffalo Bills will face the Los Angeles Rams in February, but he won’t say who he thinks wins it. (pssst Bills!)

Wade McElwain throws his tomahawk at the Chiefs bandwagon to return as AFC champs, to face the Super Bowl hosts the LA Rams.

Los Angeles Rams will make the Super Bowl!
Of course that’s just our way too early picks.

Who do you have?

Have a listen to the podcast!
