The NFL offseason is always full of debates, bold predictions, and just enough friendly arguments to keep football fans entertained until training camp begins. This week on the NFL in London Podcast, Wade and Ryan tackled one of the toughest rankings in football: the Top 10 wide receivers heading into the 2026 season.
With fantasy football drafts around the corner and training camps about to open, the duo put together their own lists based not on career accomplishments, but on who they expect to dominate this season. Unsurprisingly, there were plenty of agreements, a few controversial picks, and enough laughs to make the discussion as entertaining as it was insightful.
Ranking Wide Receivers Isn’t Easy
Both hosts admitted that this year’s list was surprisingly difficult.
Ryan expected to be overwhelmed with elite receivers, only to discover there wasn’t much separating players ranked eighth through tenth. Meanwhile, Wade focused entirely on projecting the upcoming season rather than rewarding past performances.
That led to some surprising omissions and a few names climbing much higher than many fans might expect.
The Rising Stars
One player both hosts agreed deserved more respect was Nico Collins.
Despite injuries slowing him down at times, both Wade and Ryan believe Collins is primed for another breakout year alongside C.J. Stroud. His combination of size, route running and ability to stretch the field makes him one of the league’s most dangerous weapons when healthy.
Another ascending receiver earning plenty of praise was Drake London. Both hosts see Atlanta’s star as a player ready to take another leap, especially if the Falcons receive more consistent quarterback play. His physical style and ability to win contested catches make him one of the NFL’s toughest matchups.
Veterans Still Have Plenty Left
Experience still matters.
Ryan included A.J. Brown in his Top 10, believing a fresh start and renewed motivation could produce one more elite season. While he acknowledged Brown may be approaching the stage where bigger receivers often begin to slow down, he still expects a productive 2026 campaign.
Wade leaned toward Chris Olave, predicting the Saints receiver could flourish under a more settled offensive system. If New Orleans continues to improve offensively, Olave could become one of the league’s most productive pass catchers.

George Pickens: Boom… or Bust?
Perhaps no receiver generated more debate than George Pickens.
Both hosts ranked him highly, with Ryan even suggesting Pickens has the talent to become a Top 5 receiver in the NFL.
The reasoning is simple: elite hands, incredible body control and the ability to make spectacular catches seem almost routine.
The only concern?
His temperament.
Ryan joked that Pickens could just as easily have an All-Pro season as he could “go full Antonio Brown” and create chaos. Wade agreed that Pickens’ contract situation gives him every reason to stay focused, making this one of the league’s biggest boom-or-bust storylines.
The Reliable Target Machines
Some receivers simply produce every single week.
Both hosts praised Amon-Ra St. Brown as one of football’s most dependable options. Whether it’s fantasy football or real life, he consistently gets open, racks up receptions and keeps drives alive.
Ryan described him as “the perfect slot receiver,” while Wade compared his physical style to a modern version of Calvin Johnson’s relentless ability to pick up yards after the catch.
Likewise, CeeDee Lamb remained firmly inside both Top 5 lists thanks to his chemistry with Dak Prescott and his polished route running.
Justin Jefferson: A Bounce-Back Candidate?
One of the biggest talking points was Justin Jefferson.
After several years as many people’s unquestioned No. 1 receiver, Jefferson slides slightly down both lists—not because anyone doubts his talent, but because of uncertainty surrounding Minnesota’s offense after a frustrating 2025 season.
Both hosts believe Jefferson still has elite ability and could easily return to the top of the rankings if quarterback play improves.
As Ryan pointed out, sometimes one disappointing season simply adds fuel to a superstar’s motivation.

Puka Nacua’s Strange Offseason
If there was one player capable of challenging for the No. 1 spot, it was Puka Nacua.
Ryan admitted he nearly ranked him first before concerns about an unusual offseason knocked him down a couple of places. Wade agreed there were reasons for concern but believes the Rams have addressed the distractions early enough for Nacua to refocus.
Once he’s on the field, few receivers are harder to stop.
His toughness after the catch, versatility and chemistry with Sean McVay’s offense make him one of football’s most exciting players.
The conversation even drifted into one of the podcast’s trademark comedy moments, with Wade joking about how difficult Puka is to bring down before somehow turning the discussion into a joke about “pegging” fantasy players—a running gag that perfectly captures the light-hearted style of the show.
So Who Took the Crown?
Interestingly, Wade and Ryan couldn’t agree on the league’s best receiver.
Ryan believes Jaxon Smith-Njigba deserves the top spot after an Offensive Player of the Year campaign. He praised JSN’s route running, consistency and ability to get open regardless of who’s throwing him the football.
Wade, however, believes Ja’Marr Chase remains the gold standard.
Whether catching passes from Joe Burrow or producing with backup quarterbacks, Chase continues to prove he’s nearly impossible to defend. His speed, separation and explosive playmaking ability convinced Wade that this is the season Chase reclaims his place as the NFL’s premier wide receiver.
