Baby Murray

November 23, 2020 by nflinlondon

Baby Yoda might be the hottest, cutest Christmas toy, but have you heard of Baby Murray?
This decorative, darling figure is the perfect gift for the NFL fan in your household.

Standing just under 6 feet tall, this beaming figure is sure to be the envy of your friends this holiday season.
Just put a ball in front of him, say ‘hike’, and watch Baby Murray do his thing.

Baby Murray is programmed for hours of fun! Tap on his head, and he will perform a series of spin moves to juke his way out of any defence. Double tap and watch his little arm fire a rocket of a pass downfield. And for pure joy, triple tap his helmet and he’ll perfectly execute a Hail-Murray pass, a heave-ho chuck to the end zone where (hopefully) Hopkins will be waiting arms outstretched to make the score.

Order now, and we’ll through in some Groaning Bills Fans, who will made audible screams as the game falls apart in one play.

Baby Murray is a limited time offer, so make sure you get yours exclusively from NFL in London, just one payment of £999.00.

(figure may just be a Cameo message of Kyler Murray laughing at you for believing this was real)

Sky Week 10

November 11, 2020 by nflinlondon

Well that was a bit of a sucky week 9 wasn’t it? From upsets, to blow-outs, from injuries, to way more injuries. The 2020 season sure knows how to build excitement!

That excitement continues in week 10, as Sky has released their TV schedule for all of those in Britain who watch the games on telly.
An FYI for those who don’t know, but these games will be blacked out on UK Gamepass, but can be accessible if your Gamepass isn’t set to the UK.
Here are all the games that they are showing this week.

TNF

Colts vs Titans
1:20am GMT (Friday)

‘Turgid Night Football’ is usually what happens in the wee hours for us Brits, waking up to see we missed an actual turd of a game. Luckily this week brings us an AFC bonanza, as two top teams crash it out early Friday morning.
The Colts lost a massive game to the Ravens last week after a late game collapse, while the Titans irked one against the lowly Bears.
This should be a great game, even if you only watch it the next day.

SUNDAY

Bucs vs Panthers
6:00 GMT

It’s TB12 vs TBw, as Tom Brady looks to avenge his savage beating at the hands of the Saints in Week 9. Teddy B will be looking to lead his Panthers in a divisional upset of the Bucs and Antonio Brown.
Tom Brady will be angry in this one, as it is always cute to see his angry face.
This game will either be close, or a nasty blow out.

Bills vs Cardinals
9:25 GMT

Once again the Bills are on Sky, pissing off thousands of Buffalo fans who can’t watch their team if they don’t have Sky. Please don’t contact us about this, we have nothing to do with the scheduling at Sky.
Both of these teams played in Week 9 on Sky, which is lazy programming to bring them back the next week.
This isn’t even the best 9pm game, so not sure why Sky continues to anger fans.

Ravens vs Patriots
1:20am GMT (Monday)

This game would have been great a year ago, but Tommy is gone, and Cam is a shell of his former self. The Ravens need to keep winning to stay on pace with Pittsburgh, while the Patriots need to win to avoid being traded to a rub and tug by Robert Kraft.
Not to many people will stay up for this one, but who knows with lockdown.
This game is also available on Gamepass.

MNF

Vikings vs Bears
1:20am GMT (Tuesday)

If you hate Tuesdays, then stay up late and watch this nugget of an NFC North matchup. The Bears have been in a Foles-free-fall as of late, while the Vikings can only rely on Dalvin Cook to score.
The Bears should have a chance if they can take advantage of the paltry secondary that Minnesota plays. Not worth staying up for, but good to watch when you’re making the kids breakfast the next day.

TNF-Falcons vs Panthers

October 29, 2020 by nflinlondon

Let’s take a stroll down to the dirty south, as the filthy Falcons visit the poo-stained Panthers in what should be another Thursday Night Game.
None of these teams would ever have expected to start the 2020 season only to be out of it halfway through.
Here we are on a dark, dank Thursday to see this one through, luckily most UK fans will be in bed.

Falcons (1-6) vs Panthers (3-4)
Panthers -3  + 49

Falcons

The Falcons have allowed more come from behinds than a tramp-stamp, boasting some of the most embarrassing scores thus far this season. Despite Matt Ryan throwing up hundreds of yards every game, Atlanta has looked like a hot mess in every aspect thus far.
Their O-line is as porous as a tea bag, their D is shot, and have so many injuries that they should qualify for benefits.
Last week against the Lions was a debacle, as Gurley did the one thing Matt Ryan asked him not to do…score a TD.
Fortunately for them however, they are starting to get some of their team mates back, including Old Faithful Julio Jones.
The last time these teams played a few weeks ago, the Falcons lost 23-26, but that doesn’t seem likely again this week.

Panthers

Carolina started the season out by losing the top running back in the game, only to string some wins together despite the key injury. Teddy Bridgewater looked good, Mike Davis was a nice surprise, and Robby Anderson and DJ Moore were suddenly fantasy studs…then they started to lose.
The Panthers have struggled recently, as their defence hasn’t been able to keep up with other teams that are scoring at will.
Christian McCaffery is still out, which means the Panthers will struggle once again against an Atlanta team who finally won a game in week 6.
Carolina is in free fall, and they are going to need some healthy returners if they want to even think at making a playoff run.

Prediction

Atlanta will be pissed from losing last week when they were favoured to win 99%-1% with 60 seconds left in the game. Todd Gurley should have a bounce back game, and Ridley will score at least 1 TD.
Not worth staying up for, but will be a great game to catch up on with your coffee on Friday morning.

Falcons 26 Panthers 23

Canadian Thanksgiving

October 7, 2020 by nflinlondon

It’s Canadian Thanksgiving on Sunday eh? If you’re looking for a traditional Canadian pub to watch American football on Sunday in Britain, then we have good news for you.

The Maple Leaf Tavern in Covent Garden will be hosting their own Canadian Thanksgiving feat this Sunday October 11th and you’re all invited! You will of course have to book ahead and abide by all Covid rules, but you’re invited.

Space is limited for this event, and you don’t have to be Canadian to attend. If you would like to practise apologising to everyone about everything, that should suffice enough to ‘feel Canadian’.
You can book your table by contacting us, or emailing the manager at the Maple Leaf, Zach.
7156@greeneking.co.uk

Menu

Did you know that a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving involves wearing raccoon pelts, eating braised moose meat, and beaver tails for dessert?
If you did know that, you’re an idiot, because we made it up.
The Maple Leaf will be serving traditional ThanksG fare, including turkey and fixins.
The regular menu will also be available for anyone who would rather just have wings and beer.

There is room for about 50 people on Sunday, so make sure that you book now to avoid disappointment. This will sell out quickly.

Like all pubs in the UK, last call will be around 9:15, and you must all be out the door by 10pm.

Stay safe, and happy gobble gobble day.
