DraftKings Picks

January 19, 2020 by nflinlondon

Conference championships, only 4 teams, so who do you pick?
Obviously there is a lot of value to be had on the top picks, but DFS is also about finding value in the other WRs, RBs and Flexs in the bunch.

Wade McElwain makes his Conference Championship picks on DraftKings, to make your life easier.
Here are some of the top picks he likes his week.

QB

Patrick Mahomes-$7700

Dude came back from a 27 point deficit to chuck down 51 points. He could have score close to 70 if he didn’t take his foot off the gas. It’s hard to see anyway that Mahomes ISN’T the best QB stats wise this weekend.
Even if they lose (big leap) Mahomes will still put up 40 points and 300 yards.
He is at home with a wealth of talent to throw to.
He is the best QB this weekend bar none.

RB

Tevin Coleman $5700

The 49ers have several RBs at their disposal, and will have plenty of opportunities to use them in the Redzone, and to gash the Packers throughout the night. It’s a wealth of guys to choose from, but Coleman is one of those guys who can really blast it through for the score. He should get at least 1 TD Sunday.

Aaron Jones $6700

AJ is the Packers running game. While he was kept to just 38 yards the last time these 2 played, he should be able to get more Sunday, since he is their only solution. Jones should have a 120yd night, with at least 1 TD.

WR

Sammy Watkins $4600

There are so many weapons at Mahomes disposal, how do you pick just one? Watkins is one of those guys who seems to score in pressure situations. This veteran is a solid choice when it comes to the Redzone, as well as finding separation from defenders in the game. Watkins is a good value for someone who might get you an extra 8 points.

AJ Brown $5200

Brown has been a beast for the Titans this year, so it was a bit surprising to see him only go for $5200. He should have a good game, despite the fact that the Chiefs should smother him in coverage. They will need to go deep if they fall behind, and he is the one that they will target the most.

TE

Travis Kelce $7100

Kelce is THE TE to fear this Sunday. The Titans don’t cover TE’s that well, so he should be able to gash the Titans for loads of yards and a few TDs. Sure, $7100 is pretty high, but when you know how many score he should get (3?) then you know that he will pay off in points.

Make sure you join our DraftKings League, and play in the numerous contests we have on for Sunday.

Good luck, and see you at Long Acre tonight!

Ryans Picks

January 11, 2020 by nflinlondon

Our man Ryan Cull is still smarting from his Bills being eliminated last weekend.
Will the sting of neglect still carry forward with him this weekend?
Time will tell, but more importantly his picks will.

We have included Ryans picks against the spread so that you can make your own picks based on Ryan’s expert NFL knowledge.
Will you take his advice?

Vikings vs -7 49ers

Ryan isn’t totally sold that the 49ers can put up the big boy points versus the Vikings. Minnesota has dusted off the ice and seems to be playing competitive football.
Ryan thinks that the 49ers will win, but that they won’t cover the full spread.
49ers 24 Vikings 21

Titans vs -9.5 Ravens

The Titans continue to impress as they knock off some of the top teams in the league, but can they knock off the top team? Ryan says ‘no’, but he does believe that this game will be closer than most think. He also picks Derek Henry to have a stellar game in the face of the D.
Ravens 30 Titans 23

Texans vs -9.5 Chiefs

The Texans are a team that Ryan hates right now. After dusting his Bills in the second half last week, he is looking for redemption in the form of a Chiefs beating. He thinks this will happen, with Kansas City easily covering the spread.
Chiefs 30 Texans 17

Seahawks vs -4 Packers

Ryan isn’t totally sold on the Packers either. Who have they beaten really, and have they done it impressively, or in need. The Seahawks are growing in confidence, but will too many injuries stop this party before it starts? Ryan wanted to take the Seahawks but just couldn’t do it. He does like them to cover though.
Packers 27 Seahawks 24

Make sure you check out our BetRegal offer to get going on you betting this weekend.

Wade’s DraftKings Line-Up

January 11, 2020 by nflinlondon

Do you even DFS bro?
It’s daily fantasy NFL time, and I have compiled a list of players that you could put on your DraftKings line-up.
I did, and I won money last week, so it’s up to you.

It’s always tricky when you only have 4 games to choose from, because there are the obvious choices, but you need to make sure that you grab the high value targets, as well as be able to splash out on some of the cheaper options that will still give you points.
With some injuries across a few of the teams, there is value to be had I tell ya!

Here are some of the picks I made for my teams.

QB

Jimmy Garoppolo $5600

Yes, I overlooked Lamar, Partrick, Aaron & Russell, because I am looking for value.
The 49ers should be able to put up some points on a Vikings D that is weak against the deep pass.
Whether it’s Samuel or more likely Kittle, Jimmy G will at least get 2-3 touchdowns at home.
For $5600, he’s good value to let me choose other players.

RB

Gus Edwards $4900

Mark Ingram’s back-up? Yep. Ingram is hurt, but likely to play, so how will he be used?
Edwards will be used in a power back role, as well as in goal line situations, which makes him a safe bet for a few points. The Ravens won’t want to be throwing him into the line of fire, especially if they have a lead. So look for Edwards to be used in key roles.

WR

Deebo Samuel $5200

Samuel has had a fantastic season, despite coming into fruition a little late in the game. He has speed, great hands and can really get some good yards going after the catch. For $5200 he is great value for potential points. He has the speed to mess up Minnesota in the back field, and I like him to be cagey for the Vikes to deal with.

Tyreek Hill $7600

Splash that cash baby! Watch for the cheetah to totally blow past the Texans D on Sunday. How are they going to contain a guy that is totally healthy and ready to rip them a new one? His should easily surpass 100 yards and at least 1 TD on Sunday, so make sure you make room for him in your line-up.

TE

George Kittle $6200

Kittle is the man! The main TE this season who can get open, make the big plays and gash for yards after the catch. I can’t see how the Vikings will contain him. There are too many big players to worry about, and Kittle finds the holes then rips them open even further. Worth the spend.

DEF

Chiefs $3200

Everyone is healthy and at home. If (when) the Chiefs start building up a lead, DeShaun Watson is going to have to shuttle that ball around. So if he makes a mistake, who gets it? That’s right, the Kansas D.

Other players I chose this week include: Emmanuel Sanders (SF) $5400, Marquise Brown (BAL) $4400 & Aaron Jones (GB) $7400

So there’s my line-up for this weekend.

30 for 30

December 30, 2019 by nflinlondon

Jameis Winston has had a heck of a season.
With multiple 45 point games, and a slew of passing yards Jameis has made himself an interesting conundrum for the Bucs.
Because he also had LOADS of interceptions.

No NFL player has ever had a 30 passing touchdown and 30 interception season.
Until now .

Some of his picks were just downright idiotic, while some were just flukes of football.
But the fact remains that he threw these 30 picks in an era when QBs are under increasing scrutiny.
Competition for these top jobs is fierce, so one would think a dude who throws 30 INTs would be out of a job in an instant.

But big Brucey isn’t going to do that, no matter what the fans think.

Is there anyone else who can be blamed here?
The coach? Nope.
The O line? A little bit, they were injured.
His WRs? Sure, somewhat-but they also stood on their heads to make some amazing catches and performances this season.
Can we blame Jameis singular QB vision and ineptitude?
Yes.
It’s going to be a long offseason in Tampa, and Jameis better make sure he takes the time to reflect, project and practice.
Like…a lot of practice.

Week 16-Saturday

December 21, 2019 by nflinlondon

The NFL on Saturday? What is this, Christmas?
Presents for everyone!
Week 16 is always a tough week to handicap, because teams play for the playoffs or players play to get traded next season.
After taking a bath in my picks last week, I am hoping to rebound with a solid weekend of NFL savvy.
How many can I get right this week?
Let’s start with our Saturday matches to see where my head is at.

-3 Texans (9-5) vs Buccaneers (7-7) +50.5

The Bucs are bringing back Jameis for 2020, so saddle in fans.
Jameis has continued to put up a buckled of points every week, despite tossing as many INTs and fumbling the ball.
He’s had 2 games in a row with 450+ yards, and he could continue that against a tired, and weakened Texans secondary.
His top 2 receivers will also be a gamete decision, so Perriman could see the ball quite a bit in this game.
The Texans will want a win, but with a Titans rematch in Week 17, they might not be as fully focused.
The Bucs have a solid front D that will force DeShaun into pressure situations to make mistakes.
Tampa is playing to a hometown Christmas crowd, so look for them to deliver a present in the form of a close game.
Texans will irk out the win, but barely.
Bucs COVER

Bills (10-4) vs -6 Patriots (11-4)

The battle of the AFC East, as the plucky Bills have strung together their first 10 game win season since the Doug Flutie years.
Tom Brady has been playing ‘meh’ football thanks to a paltry receiving corp and an offensive line that has seen a lot of new faces.
The Pats D keeps them in games with Gilmore ripping the ball from anyone in sight. John Brown will have a tough matchup here.
Josh Allen will need to move his feet to get rid of the ball, as he will probably see a lot of pressure from that fast Pats D.
Beasley should have a good fantasy game, as he will probably be the X factor that the Patriots ignore.
Edeleman looks sort of injured, so don’t see him having a ripper of a game.
The Patriots will do what they do. Go up early, face a comeback, then rip the guts out of them to close it out.
Patriots WIN

Rams (8-6) vs -6 49ers (11-3)

What are the Rams doing? First they are able to string a few wins together, then they look to implode on themselves. The 49ers are hurting after their losses, seeing their position in the playoffs drop to a lowly Wildcard spot. They need a win here and will have some healthy bodies back to do it.
The 49ers front line will be all over Goff, who’s O line has been patched together with old and new.
Jimmy G should have a great game, feasting on Kittle and letting Mostert gash through whatever is left.
Goff will struggle in this win, unless he is able to master some deep ball, which is an issue for the 49ers in recent weeks.
The Niners need this win. Both teams are desperate to make the playoffs, but San Fran doesn’t want to watch all of that hard work go to waste.
49ers WIN
