Week 10 Tips

November 14, 2021 by nflinlondon

Week 10 is here in the NFL, and what the heck do we know?
Really?

The Chiefs were supposed to be a dynamic team for 2021, and they have only gone off like a wet firework.
Mahomes and company make every Sunday look like their performing dentistry through the rectum, unpleasant and awkward.

The AFC in general is a bit of a wet fart, as it covers everything, and no one really knows who dealt it.
Are the Titans the real contenders, or is the Bills?
Will the real AFC contender please stand up?

Despite the wild week of games, Wade was able to correctly predict some of the turd outcomes including a Denver upset of America’s team.
How will he do this week?

The boys sort of proudly present their Week 10 tips, who knows really.

Ryan had said a few weeks ago that he would never bet on the Atlanta Falcons again, but guess who’s back in an abusive relationship?
Ryan looks to heal old wounds in week 10, as he revisits picks of the past, and see if he can find an understanding.

Ryans Picks

Shuffling off to Buffalo (-13), Ryan is hot on his team to lay a beating on the Mike White led New York Jets.
While he loves his Bills, he doesn’t love their stagnant starts, and while he thinks Buffalo will win, he has the Jets (+13) to cover.

Falcons (+9.5)  fans rejoice, Ryan is back into the fold, and he has a wild prediction in week 10…a Falcons win!
That’s right Atlanta, Ryan has predicted a Falcons upset on Sunday, as he thinks that they will beat the Dallas Cowboys at home.

Tennessee (-3) might have lost King Henry for a few weeks, but that doesn’t stop Ryan from believing in them to do the dirty on the Saints on Sunday.
He likes the other Ryan (Tannehill) to lead the south to victory over…the south in a bit of a blowout.

Denver (-3) laid a mile high concussion on the Cowboys on Sunday, and Ryan likes them to win another game against the struggling Eagles. He likes Teddy and the boyz to make the day tough for Jalen Hurts.

A £10 bet using Ryan’s picks of Jets, Falcons, Titans and Broncos would win you £160.00

Wade’s Picks

Wade has gone the upset route for Week 10, given how many wild upsets happened during week 9.

Cleveland (+3) has had a heck of a week with all the OBJ’ing to and fro, all while Baker tries to get better. The Patriots might be on a tear, but slow and steady doesn’t win every race. He likes the Browns to win.

Big Ben is out, which brings in the unsteady Mason Rudolph to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Jared Goff and the Lions (+7) are 0-8, which means he needs something to happen to save his job. Will this be the week they win? Maybe, but they should keep it closer than 9.

The Vikings (+2.5) are a steaming pile of hot mess this season, and every one of their games except for one has been decided in the final 60 seconds of the game.
Facing the Chargers this week, the same thing might just happen.
Wade thinks that Minnesota will keep this game close (& high scoring).

The Raiders (+2.5) have had a gut punch of a month, losing pretty much all of their draft picks for 2020 in the process.
Derek Carr is angry, and ready to rally against a depleted Chiefs squad.
This one could be big and angry, but the Raiders should prevail.

If you want to use Wade’s picks of Browns, Lions, Vikings and Raiders, a £10 bet will yield you a whopping payout of £159.70.

If you want to hear all of the guys picks, just listen to the podcast where the guys break down all of their tips and picks.

Sports Bar Week 5

October 12, 2021 by nflinlondon

Hoo doggy! What a wild and wicked weekend of NFL action we had!

The NFL marched into London last week, in a battle between the Jets and Falcons at Tottenham on Sunday. We have some of the pictures from our event at the Sports Bar Week 5.

‘Battle’ might be a bit extreme given the season play of both teams, but it was a fun fan-filled affair on Sunday from start to finish.

Speaking of finish, we threw epic NFL after parties at the Sports Bar & Grill Clapham, Old Street, as well as the Princess Alexandra in Crouch End.

Best of all, we are doing it again this Sunday, so make sure that you book in advance.

Our locations do take reservations, to make sure that you get a table for when you arrive.

If you are walking in without a reservation, please be patient, we will try to find you space, but we do have to look after the people who thought ahead, and booked ahead.

Another wild and wicked Sunday ahead at the Sports Bar Old Street and Clapham.

NFL in Clapham

September 28, 2021 by nflinlondon

South London has often been under served when it comes to American football.

Sure, the London Warriors might reign supreme in British football, but when it came to watching the games on a Sunday, there was much left to be desired.

Thankfully now all that has changed, now that the Sports Bar & Grill is showing the NFL in Clapham.

Located right on the high street, The Sports Bar and Grill Clapham Junction is your new favourite home for sports.

Location

Smack dab in the middle of Clapham Junction and close to Clapham Common, the Sports Bar & Grill is easily accessible to all major tube lines and bus lines.
The brand spanking new Northern Line station at Battersea and Nine Elms isn’t too far away, if you’re looking to sniff some of that new tube smell.

The exact address of the pub is:
4 St John’s Hill, London
SW11 1RU

Make sure you pop that postcode into CityMapper if you’re looking to head to the pub from across the city.
We highly recommend CityMapper to anyone who is visiting London to help you get around.

To check out the pub and see the menu, make sure you click here.

NFL Sundays

South London is usually pretty dead on a Sunday, which is why the NFL nights are something to stat up for.

With loads of TVs to choose from, you can watch any or all of the NFL games on that night.

Usually the pub closes at 11pm, so you can only watch the early games, but that’s great too.

There will be some nights when the Sports Bar & Grill Clapham will be open late, and we will keep you in the loop about those.

Make sure you book ahead if you have a group to avoid disappointment and to make sure that you can watch it at the TV of your choice.

London Games

Are you looking for a place to watch the NFL before, after or even during the London games at Tottenham stadium?
Then the Sports Bar  Grill Clapham is your south London destination to catch the games.

On Sunday October 10th, the Jets and Falcons will be battling it out at Tottenham stadium for a 2:30pm GMT derby.
Head to the bar after the game for a late night party until 12:30am!
They will be showing all the games, as well as offering up great food and drink all day long.

Sunday October 17th sees the Dolphins and Jaguars fighting out their Florida turf war in north London.
The Sports Bar will stay open until 11pm that night, giving folks plenty of time to catch the 6pm games.

Other Events

The Sports Bar & Grill Clapham is more than just your friendly neighbourhood sports bar, they also put on cool events as well.

If you’re looking for place to host your Thanksgiving party this year, get in touch with them and they can let you know all the fantastic things that they have planned for turkey day.

Planning a Christmas or holiday party? Hit up the SB&G and they will share the menus and all the fun festivities planned for this season.

See you Sundays and beyond!
Keep supporting live sports viewings in South London!

Sky Week 2

September 15, 2021 by nflinlondon

For those of us that live in the UK, there is a tinge of sadness that we don’t get to watch all the NFL games.

To find out which games will be blacked out in England, we point you to the games on Sky Week 2.
Luckily, some of them stink so there are others to watch.

A true NFL fan abroad will invest in Gamepass, which is a way to watch MOST of the NFL games, as well as a whole host of replays, options and other programs.

Sadly, if Sky Sports is showing a game, it will be blacked out on Gamepass, forcing viewers to either fork out money for Sky Sports, watch another game, or just flip on the VPN.

The gang on Sky Sports bust their humps every week to push out of a broadcast from their Osterley studios.
For many viewers, they are a UK institution…for others….well, just read the forums.

TNF

Sky Sports shows TNF, as does Gamepass and Amazon.
To be honest, Amazon offers the bets show here, as the streaming quality and broadcast team are heads and tails above the rest.
With rumours circling that Amazon is planning on buying ALL the NFL rights, it seems logical that they play around with it to get it right first.

49ers vs Eagles

6pm GMT

20 years ago, this would have been one heck of a contest…in 2021…not so much.

Both teams are coming off of wins, but also coming off of a playoff less season.
Everyone is throwing heat at these two franchises early on, forgetting what a steaming pile that they both were only a few months ago.

In week 1, both of thee teams won…beating Detroit and Atlanta…dumpster fire central in terms of franchises.
Now they get to beat up each other…except it won’t go as easy, and as fun to watch as last week.

Sky Sports will be showing this game which looks to be a defensive battle of few points, turnovers and oodles of penalties.
Given this, there should be plenty of commercial breaks, which gives the Sky team a little more face time.

Like a child’s drawing, this looks good on paper, but there’s nothing else really to do with it.

Cowboys vs Chargers

9pm GMT

Dak & the boys head to the coast to take on the fast paced LA Chargers in a half empty stadium, in a game that really isn’t the best of the rest.

After getting humbled by TB12 & the Bucs last week, the Cowboys will be looking to use that extra time to plug some holes that Tommy boy shredded through their back side.

Justin Herbert and the boys will be smarting from a tough Washington game last week, that saw them rip Fitzmagic from the fabric of space, time and shoulder.
Joey Bosa and company are going to make Dak’s life hell for the second week in a row.

If you DO want to watch this game, just an FYI that it is on Sky Sports, and you WON’T be able to access it regularly through Gamepass UK.

Chiefs vs Ravens

1:30am GMT

Who stays up at this unGodly hour?
True NFL fans!

There won’t be too many places that show this game live in London on a Sunday night, and if you go, you might be missing an internal organ or two.
(Central London late at night gets stabby)

This game is also on Sky Sports as well as Gamepass.
You won’t have a delay on Gamepass.

That’s it for the Sky Sports schedule this week for week 2.

Hope you join us this Sunday at the Sports Bar & Grill Old Street for 40+ TVs of NFL action.

See you Sunday.

2021 Team Schedules

May 15, 2021 by nflinlondon

The NFL has released the 2021 Team Schedules, and all signs point to football coming back.
Boy are we ready!

Much like every incarnation of the NFL, the release of the season schedule brings with it much pomp, circumstance, and privacy.
In years past, NFL season schedules were typed, printed, faxed, and usually made it to a 4×4 square on page 98 of the sports pages.

Oh how times have changed!
Teams are now adding a bit of pizzazz to the proceedings, with great graphics, poignant puns, and plenty of trash talk when targeting their opponents on twitter.

We’ve added some of the team schedules of all the NFL teams, so that you can plan your viewing excitement come September.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo opens up their 2021 season with a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.  This should be a great test to open up the playoff chances of the Bills against a team that went 11-0 to start off the season.
The Bills end their season with the Jets, which is always nice for an easy ‘W’

Cleveland Browns

The Browns added some style to their 2021 Schedule release, with some throwback graphics and helmet overlays for their opponents.
Sadly for the Browns, their season starts with the Kansas City Chiefs, who gave the Browns a right kicking last time.
Fortunately, they end the season off with a game against the Bengals.

Carolina Panthers

Keeping it simple, the Carolina Panthers threw down the blue and black for their 2021 schedule. First up is Sam Darnold and his ‘ghosts’, as the Panthers face the New York Jets in an anticipated match-up. The Panthers also have a Boxing Day game against the Bucs, which should be exciting as well.
Sadly their last game of the season is also against the Bucs.

Chicago Bears

The Bears went all ‘Insta’ on their schedule release, with a simple image that looks like Jackson Pollock doodled all over the bottom of the page.
The Bears have one of the toughest schedules in the league for 2021, and an opening game against the LA Rams will certainly be a test.
Chicago also has to face the Vikings in weeks 15 and 18, which could have playoff implications.
Unless they totally suck.

Denver Broncos

The Broncos are a team in need of direction, which shows in their 2021 schedule release. Plenty of space, but not a lot of info-fitting for this Denver team.
Denver still has that begging question ‘Are we getting Aaron Rodgers’, which could add to the team drama.
With a regular season game against the Kansas City Chiefs, an Aaron Rodgers led team could lead to an epic finale.

Green Bay Packers

Get your cheese-heads ready, we’re in for a wild ride Green Bay.
More drama than your mama, the Packers are watching their dirty laundry bounce around the neighbourhood.
Even if AR does return, what kind of toxicity will be in that locker room?
Fortunately for the Packers, their last game of the season is the Detroit Lions.

Indianapolis Colts

What can the Colts do this season? They have been ‘luckless’ as of late, with Phillip Rivers dribbling in the cup on the way to a lack lustre season.
They’ve got Carson Wentz, and the Seattle Seahawks as their first opponent.
The Colts finish their season with a divisional matchup with the Jags.
Are the Colts playoff bound this year?

There are 272 games across 18 weeks.
Some will be amazing.
Some you will only watch on catch-up the next day.
Isn’t it great to have the NFL back?
